Taking a QB at #10 would be the worst possible thing they could do. Taking a WR or any other position other than OT would be the second worse thing they could do.
Trading #10 might go all the way to draft day. Some team that wants a certain player sees another team interested in the same player may decide to move up and trade there pick plus another to get the pick. It's a poker game.
Daniel Jeremiah just released his recent mock and has the Jets trading up to 5 with the LAC to grab Marvin Harrison Jr after 4 QBs go 1-4. A 2025 2nd was all it took.
that would be insane. I think Jeremiah is just trying to get some clicks though lol. I dont see QBs going 1-4 or Harrison lasting to 5th. And if he did, the Chargers would have many offers to choose from
Yeah I don't think 4 QBs go either, but if it took a 2025 2nd to get to 5 even for Nabers I'm intrigued.
It would be dumb to trade all that draft capital to move up 5 spots when there's a chance that a game changing offensive skill player falls to them at 10. If they don't, you trade down. But Joe Douglas has a mandate now so we'll be making rash decisions that don't take the future of the team into account.
yeah agreed. more picks please. this team still have holes. Please are celebrating for getting moses back, he is average at best.
that pick was not free. they paid rodgers a big bonus and incurred a huge cap hit because of that trade
If we took a QB at 10, behind our two old and fragile QBs, protected by our old and fragile offensive tackles, that rookie would be starting by game four and we would be off to a flying start on ruining yet another quarterback. I call it the ‘domino theory’.
They don't have to draft an OT at 10, but they have to draft one of the top OT prospects in my opinion. If they trade down a few spots and still get a top OT prospect, I would be happy with that.
