The Jets never played the Eagles at Shea Stadium Saleh will be only the second Jets coach to play the Eagles twice (Walt Michaels 1977/1978) Zach Wilson becomes the first Jets QB to start against the Eagles twice - (Pennington played the Eagles twice but only one start) The Jets once went nine years between meetings vs the Eagles (1978-87) and then went seven years (1996-2003) between meetings…hence only 12 all time meetings The only NFC team the Jets have played less would be the Arizona Cardinals (10)…the lack of meetings was due to the unbalanced schedule the NFL produced back in the 1970s through the 1990s

The Jets and Eagles have also played preseason games at least 20 times, usually on the last week of the preseason, I think 2023 was the first year it has not happened since the 1900s I'm sure the exact number of games and record is out there but I can't find it already compiled and it would take more inspiration than I have to put it together.

Yes that’s correct I think they have played the Eagles more than any other team aside from the Giants in the preseason - AND I believe the Jets have a winning record vs them LOL. Last year was the first time they did not play the Eagles in the preseason since 2000 I believe and before then 1984.

I feel like 90% of what Saleh says about injuries is just said to keep the opponents in the dark. When in doubt, err on the side of optimism, so teams have to prepare for both the injured player and their backup.
Saleh expressing any optimism for any player not practicing is the kiss of death. It's comical at this point.
