Looks like the weather could be a factor here. Warren Sharp on X: "UPDATE: tropical cyclone seems to be tracking for a direct hit Sunday to the 3 games mentioned previously: WAS v BUF BAL v IND NYJ v NE something to keep an eye on https://t.co/mLX02Cetxn" / X (twitter.com)
This game imo will better define this team than the Dallas game. The Jets have got to beat the Patriots here. It's time for Saleh and Wilson to get over this team. They have been able to beat the Bills yet can't get through New England. Its put up or shutup time.
the bad weather benefits the Patriots. Wilson has never played well in poor weather. When it is windy and rainy it requires the passing game to be more efficient in the short game
If Babyface Wilson can't hand the f'n ball off, his ass needs to be benched. Fck JD's pride. All Zach has to do is feed Breece and make perhaps 10 short throws to keep Belichek honest. Let the D do what they do and we can win this game. Manage the Game Zach! Oh yeah, someone tell Hackett to get his head out of his ass and come up with a ground-centric gameplan instead of the air raid shit he's been doing so far. Mike White did it quite well last year. Will the OLine show up and be ready to grind out a win is the real question..
Funny BN, but my biggest fear isn't Belichek, its Hackett. I just get the feeling he's not gonna flex his game plan and still try to go air raid in a tropical storm.
I actually disagree about the rain / wind being better for the Pats. They haven't been able to run the ball all year. Their OL is a mess. I expected them to dink and dump there way to a win if we came out in soft coverage. The winds are suppose to be pretty ridiculous so there is no reason to not get up and be physical with their WRs. Last time Mac Jones played in insane winds:
Pats 20-19. Like the Rams did against the Niners in Week 2, Jets kick a meaningless FG with no time left in the game so the Jets can cover the 2.5 spread and the game goes over 36.5.
I just listen to hackett'spresser and he actually said that we had a good game plan for dallas...LOL. Its all about third downs...we got to get better...well dude, you have a QB that is a three and out specialist so how do you get better... his answer was execute.... jeeze, never crossed my mind coach. Then someone ask about the OL play and scheme and of course he used the - we need be in 2 min drill (quick passes)... Really, the OL was porous yet this stooge is sending people out: thus, leaving ZW to fend for himself. . The someone ask about the ZW inplosion relative to NE and his response was... its all about us... not history! Then the same guy said well he been here and it has affected him and his response was again... its all about what we want to do. I swear, where the hell do they get thes guys...
I hated the Hackett hire from Day 1, and the only way I got my head around it was because Rodgers wanted him here so I was like well ok fine. Now we get to see what he can do without Rodgers. Hope it works!
Ultimately I think this game comes down to whether or not you believe in Saleh. If his defense no shows this week it would be a really bad look for him.
Zach pounding the table for sideline umbrella and hot dog From what hear the CS will be doing the reverse the rain dance on Saturday
"Wilson might not want to see the Patriots again, however. In four games against them, Belichick’s group has made life for Wilson and the Jets miserable. Twice, the BYU product has failed to complete even 10 passes in a game against New England. He’s thrown just two touchdowns against seven interceptions and been sacked 11 times."
He was limited in today's practice and still listed as Questionable. We should know by tomorrow I guess.
