Dear Jesus. This team needs your help. Please wrap up your Sunday sermon quick and help our team. Thank you. Signed: Your Muslim follower
Since I needed a FF kicker now with Zuerlein out I decided to add the Cowboy guy for the week. This is called hedging your bets like a complete dirtbag.
Here’s a little trivia … The Jets are 2-2 all time in Dallas (only played there once before 1999) and this is the first time that the two teams will play there before Thanksgiving Day… Of all the NFC teams the Jets have played the Cowboys on the road the least amount of times … to include Carolina (5 games) who came into the league in 1995.
The last 4 Jets QBs the Cowboys have faced Kellen Clemens Mark Sanchez Ryan Fitzpatrick Sam Darnold Clemens was the last time the Cowboys won
Losing our lights out kicker in a game where we are probably only going to score 3 points at a time is not ideal. My father-in-law is a massive Cowboys fan, listens to every bit of content that the Cowboys team site puts out daily. He’s usually very much a realist when it comes to the Cowboys and I wouldn’t consider him anything even remotely close to a homer. That being said, he’s absolutely licking his chops this week. The consensus among their fanbase and reporters and analysts is that all you need to do is score 2 touchdowns and it’s going to be a win. They also know that two touchdowns isn’t going to be a cakewalk against our defense but I don’t think they are all that worried and who can blame them? I don’t think we lose by a lot but I think it’s going to be a demoralizing loss. Yes it’s against an elite defense on the road in their home opener but Zach is going to be unimpressive and we will spend all we talking about how if we only had an average quarterback we’d be a Super Bowl contender.
If the cowboys are over confident we might catch them flat on defense. If we win the turnover battle we should have a chance. Then again, I hope we don't come out flat on the road.
I can definitely see them coming out flat and overconfident for the first half but if they decide to turn it up a notch even a little bit we can’t match their offensive output.
Maybe. But we gotta remember at any given time a TD could be just one Breece run away. Catch them blitzing, or a wideout makes a key block, etc. Its so early in the season I don't think either team knows for sure who they are yet.
Eagle has landed. More like Brook! has landed. At AT&T Stadium already. Parked my car at a Satellite Lot. Waking towards the stadium to find a Jets tailgate and join. May God, Jesus, Mohammed, Moses all help the Jets today. Dear Zach, please play mistake free.
The Cowboys will rue the day . . . ! Rue the day of what, who is to say. I was sad when Tony Romo retired because he was always good for a Tony Romo. I thought the last time the Jets beat Dallas was with Brunell and Mark Sanchez The Nose Picker on the roster (it's a Jets thing). Poor Joe McKnight blocked a punt and Isaiah Trufant ran it in for the game winning TD. (((shrugs)))
Every die hard fan is a homer actually. But I agree with your father in law. Our defense is on par or maybe slightly better than Cowboys defense. But when it comes to Zach vs Dak, I would trust Dak more at home. But you never know. Maybe Zach will wake up with a confidence and play lights out. Godspeed Jets!
Rex on GameDay just made a good point, echoing what I've been saying. Stay ahead of the sticks. Then Zach needs to have one read. If it's not there, tuck it and run and gain whatever you can. I actually think the Jets are going to pull this out 23-20
