It just made me laugh the idea that Bill is such a genius that he was choosing to lose games in order to get top QB prospect but if he isn't going to be there to enjoy it then he has switched around and is now choosing to win to screw them over
I am thinking of making a pitch to EA for a new update for Madden 25: the idea will be a new "Game Difficulty" setting below "Rookie" which will allow even the worst players to compete - it will be called "SOJ Mode" and if selected the AI controlled opponent will play as if being coached by the New York Jets. Features of the New York Jets mode designed to make it easier for beginners include: - the opponent will not try to block your pass rushers! - the opponent will not complete more than 5% of third down conversion attempts! - the opponent will be limited to a maximum of 1 TD per game! - the opponent will be limited to a maximum of 5 different offensive play calls giving you the chance to learn how to stop them! - if the opponent is winning at half time then it will automatically spot the player enough points to give them the lead! This feature will be trained on actual NYJ game footage over the last decade to make it as realistic as possible.
SOJ situational playbook on third and long, every play is either a draw play or a screen where the blocking assignments just go in random directions. The opposing team is given a stat boost every time the SOJ team tries a reverse. On defense, the SOJ team's awareness drops to 0 on every 3rd and long. I could do this all day.
Have to program a couple of random offensive outbursts as part of the special "recency bias" add-on - preferably to be used later in the season so as to influence the AI engine to run it back the following season.
You just have to hope you don't draw SOJ mode late in the season after the Jets are eliminated. That's when you're at risk of the AI playing well to screw its draft position.
The Browns obviously made an awful miscalculation thinking the predator known as Deshaun Watson would return to 2020 form. But they’ve drafted so incredibly well and they have a good coaching staff that none of it really matters. They’ve also accumulated a lot of picks in rounds 3-5 and made them count over the years. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous as hell of what they have there.
I honestly have a gut feeling we pull this one out tonight after the real Joe Flacco experience gets blown up by our D. Or at least make it competitive. Taking Jets +7.5
That comment from Saleh is just infuriating to hear. We don't tank. Well, you guys sure as hell tanked the middle part of this season by doing nothing to address the problems that this franchise had that were clear as day to anyone who doesn't reside at 1 Jets Drive. Saleh, just say what you really mean, which is we need to win games down the stretch to get the fanbase off of your back.
Forget that we are on the road. Forget Trevor Sieman is our QB, or that we can't score TDs: Salah is 0 - 5 as a head coach on a short week. This could get ugly boys.
