Well, Zach played arguably the best game of his career and kept this season from being officially over. It's still basically over but just not technically. The Jets travel to Miami this week for a rematch with the Dolphins. The Dolphins could be tied with the Ravens for 1st place in the AFC depending on the outcome of their game tonight with the Titans. We know what the Dolphins are at this point, a really good team that seems to be clicking at the right time. Can our defense keep their explosive offense in check? Can Zach Wilson put together another good game? Can we get just a little bit of stability on the OL to close out the year? The answers to these questions will likely determine the outcome of the game. How are we feeling after yesterday's performance everyone? Back on the bandwagon? Mad that the team is seemingly ruining another good opportunity to tank? As I said, I think the season is all but over but I do think there's value in winning these games down the stretch. It would be nice to go a run to end the year so these young guys get that feeling, even if we fall short of the playoffs. I think a lot of us would've been content with 9-8 after losing Rodgers in the first game and that's still on the table. Go beat the Dolphins!!
OLine went from sucks to barely serviceable. Still not good enough for upper tier competition. Hackett seemed to throw caution to the wind. Zach had the game of his life and I wonder if he sees it as his ticket out of hell errr...New York. He played far above his ceiling yesterday. Saleh and JD while thumping their chests shouldn't because if this truly is the real Zach Wilson, they've fucked this kid up to the point they both should be fired.
It'll be over midway through the 2nd quarter. Back to reality for all of those that are allowing yesterday's mirage to reignite playoff hopes. They'll be the same sorry ass team this Sunday that they've been all year.
I vote Jet to win (shit I am 1 of 3?). But, lets not get too far over our skis fellas (message to self). Don't know if what we saw Sunday was the future. More like window dressing to market ZW. However, they scored 3 touchdowns. When was the last time that happened? Mmmmm...perhaps (strokes chin)...
I am flying down with my two sons to attend the game. I've done a ton of road games, and usually they are not ordinary games. Usually some incredulity involved. Very rare that I've seen a complete blowout, though. So, what I'm saying is expect the unexpected, and probably not a blowout.
If you don’t want to absolutely destroy the Dolphins on a normal day, let alone following an embarrassing loss on national tv, turn in your fan card.
