Yeah that's part of what I was getting at. When they traded up, I thought it was for Stroud. And this is after trading for Sam, giving him the 5th year option, then letting him go. The team is a trainwreck. lol
If the Jets pulled that off, they'd be tied for 1st with Miami. Miami is on bye next week. Miami would TECHNICALLY be in 1st due to tie breakers, but they are mostly meaningless since Jets haven't played phins yet and the Jets only played 2 divisional games.
I said a month ago to my friend who loves Caleb that something just doesn’t add up with him. He has a resume and skill set on part with the four elite prospects of all time - Elway, Peyton, Luck and Lawrence. But it just doesn’t feel like it’s going to work out as expected. He also fumbles a ton and can’t stay in the pocket at all.
Why? Could be the opponents were better or the Jets weren't prepared - that's on the coaching. It was probably both - or simply coincidence. While you didn't say there was an unfair burden, you made your point about weather and losing off the bye prefaced "to be fair."
He's been in college too long and getting complacent. I think he could still be good in the NFL but he needs a "welcome to the NFL" moment
