I'm not just talking about last night. For the year he's rated worse than Wilson and that's hard to do considering how Zach has played. He also threw a pick 6 that went 97 yards the other way. He's been terrible this year.
Agree that INT was bad. They had a chance to get back in the game if they score there. Jones needs to play better no doubt. But that OL...WOOF!!!
The Giants drafts have been terrible too. Thibodeaux looked good last night but he’s been a disappointment. Evan Neal has to be one of the worst right tackles in football. They have a good left tackle, defensive tackle, couple good corners, Saquon and then a bunch of terrible players all over the place.
The Seahawks have rebuilt their team while still having winning seasons. They did it by excellent drafting, finding multiple starters in the lower rounds, and hitting on their higher picks. Their doing almost the same thing they did in 2009.
Andrew Thomas was out last two weeks vs SF and last night. He is probably one of the best LTs in the league. Their RT (Evan neal) who they took 7th overall 2 years ago from Alabama has been abysmal. He’s been worse than ereck flowers who was laughed out of town.
They gave us 2 firsts and a 3rd and still drafted twice the talent than we have. They get as much value out of rounds 4 - 7 than we get in entire drafts.
The fact that they whiffed so bad on that Adams trade and it didn’t completely their effort to build and field a competitive team does say something.
Amazing fact - neither the Giants nor the Jets have run a single offensive play so far this year when they were ahead.
Nice breakdown by Orlovsky of the Jones disaster on MNF. Worth the 3 minutes of your time, don’t think many people do a better job than Dan on film breakdown. https://x.com/danorlovsky7/status/1709323680130494468?s=46&t=RCU1EI_2cEZzRLtLmi7Csg
Yeah, Jones seems to be the classic case of more than one thing can be true at the same time - the team isn't helping him out, but he is also not very good. This is exactly the situation the Jets went through with Sanchez and Darnold, but at least they weren't dumb enough to give a second contract to either of them that put them on the hook for big money and/or dead cap hit for three years.
