Takeaways from the Pitt Cleveland game: Kenny Pickett has regressed into crap. George Pickins is a stud. Watson isn't returning to form. Elijah Moore would be a good receiver if he knew how to toe tap.
It's looking better than originally thought - they now think that the ACL was only stretched, not torn (the MCL was torn). It's still a six-to-eight month timeline, but not considered career-ending. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/38471366/sources-browns-rb-nick-chubb-believed-only-torn-mcl
I don’t think this particular injury will threaten his later life but the way he runs will. The reason the guy gets his knees blown out so often is that he runs so unbelievably hard that he can absorb so much contact. He should retire and enjoy his ability to walk. If he keeps playing and avoids catastrophic injury again, I still imagine his lower body is going to be beat to shit as he gets older.
Unfortunately the news ended up being bad - besides the damage to the MCL and meniscus, it turns out that Chubb did, in fact, tear his ACL. They repaired the MCL-related stuff, but will have to go back in later to repair the ACL.
