I think I heard Schefter say that that crew will not be allowed to do playoff games. What a joke.

The NFL product actually sucks ass if you don't gamble or play fantasy football.

    The Officials suck
There are Commercials every 2 minutes
They ram gambling and fantasy down your throat nonstop. I don't need to hear Mathew Berry or Mike Florio tell me about their "props of the day". STFU!!!

All the Lions had to do was win next week and they would be at worse the 2 seed. If the Lions won next week and SF slipped on either of their next two, Detroit would be the 1 seed. The NFC East is now still up for grabs because as well. Effing joke of a league.

College football has its own problems with NIL and the transfer portal but the officiating as a whole is usually far superior which doesn’t make any sense.

I know the rules of contact down the field are slightly different but they let the guys play. They don’t throw a lot of holding calls on the far side of the field where the QB never looks or throws.

Illegal contact being an automatic first down on 3rd and 15 is such a shit bailout call. And of course it's always on the other side of the field that has no impact. I cannot stand it. The entire rulebook needs to be looked at and they need to make the refs full time. The fact that these guys wake up Monday morning and then go teach history class to a bunch of 7th graders is a joke. The NFL is a 19B industry. Surely they can allocate a few million to the officials of their sport..?

    Yup, agreed.

Facemasks on two yard losses to make it 3rd & 13 are ridiculous too. Facemask personal foul penalties were instituted when guys were actively trying to rip other guys faces off. I’ve never seen a facemask on purpose in the last 20 years.

It’s not hard to fix the sport. Penalties shouldn’t be worth so much unless they egregiously affect the outcome of the play. It gives the refs too much autonomy in the age of legal gambling to fuck with the outcome.

While I tend to agree... that would enable even more fuckery and inconsistency.

In what way? I’m not saying they shouldn’t call penalties. Holding is holding, facemasks are facemasks. But you shouldn’t be rewarded with a first down on a 3rd and 21 draw because the guys hand grazed a facemask IMO.

For now it does. At some point it'll get too big and they will have to admit being in the entertainment industry and this is all sort of a sham.

Not trying to go full tin foil hat, but I've started having serious doubt about the streaming numbers/amount of viewers they say these games get. There's just no way, unless 70 percent of the viewers just have it on on the background and pay 0 attention.

I also find it odd that radio and television, who are in bed with sports gambling and/or the NFL, find the constant need to shove how many viewers NFL games get almost daily like they are trying to create FOMO.

There's not enough actual gameplay, and if you do commit the three plus hours you get boned by having one call basically determine the outcome. There's just no way that many people are ok with that.

I think they are doing it with the knowledge that our government has too much else to do.

Considering how bad the Patriots are, next week's game with the Jets should be a real barn-burner.

Yikes, Philly's defense looks VERY playoff unready.

Chubb, is such a punk - cheap shots a guy to the head after the whistle and turns away instead of standing in front of him and owning it...

Dolphins are getting the treatment they should for a team that likes to run up the score. Acting like a bunch of bitches, which is expected.
