What a performance by Toney. I can't recall a receiver having a game as bad as that. Giant fans must be rejoicing. #74 for the Chiefs jumped early all night. Only called once.
That was a joke. He was also lined up off to far off the line a lot. If the NFL cant even get this right...?
Really bizarre coaching on both sides. Both teams kept running jet sweeps that weren’t working. The Lions were pulling too many offensive lineman all night when they should’ve blasted them off the ball man on man. They also had that fourth down batted down when the Chiefs didn’t have a defensive tackle in the game and a blitz package in. They could’ve handed it off up the gut for 15 yards. On the Chiefs side, this felt like vintage Andy Reid from his Philly days. Of course still a great coach but he didn’t give the run game a single chance all game long when he was down his best weapon and facing an obviously fixed secondary. 4th and 25? I get the logic but it still doesn’t make sense to me at all. How was Toney not on the bench after his second drop? They also kept feeding him the rock on 3rd down of all downs! On the refereeing side - blatant Chiefs bias. They shouldn’t have a montage on the broadcast of false starts and illegal alignments to show that don’t get called. They also missed a bad tripping call and then banged the Lions for one a few plays later. Overall the Chiefs will figure it out because they have the best player in the league but they’re in big trouble receiver wise. Their strategy of finding 5’10” 180 pound guys will hurt them. They don’t have a JuJu type that can win on 3rd and medium slants and stops.
The only thing I was thinking about was the fact that maybe the Chiefs were trying to bait the Lions into kicking the FG and settling if they didn’t get a first. Still a bad ploy to go for that IMO.
Mahomes had a real stinker of a game. He played like hot garbage, but no one in the media will acknowledge that their golden boy wasn’t so golden.
Of course you'll deny it, but given that your first post on this thread was today, and this is what it is, it seems like you didn't actually watch the game.
Did you watch the game or just look at the stat line?? Is this because you feel the need to cut down Mahomes to try to prove Allen is better? He actually played incredibly well, his receivers kept dropping the ball (including the interception). The Chiefs really are dependent on Kelce!
Finally someone said it. Patrick Mahomes is terrible, consider his stats this season: Most interceptions in the league More incomplete passes than any other QB Averaging 1 pick six per game EDIT I forgot to add, his wife is a butterface
His only pick was a perfectly led crosser dropped by a guy most teams would’ve cut by now into the defenders hands.
I saw him throw multiple passes into the dirt, he kept leaving the pocket early (seeing ghosts?) and most of his passes all night were high and off target. The one Toney dropped that would’ve put them in field goal range was a yard and a half behind him. It was an off night for Mahomes.
Multiple passes in the dirt? I must’ve missed those. He wasn’t leaving the pocket early, he was moving up and down the pocket to manipulate the rush to but time. Hutchinson was shrinking the pocket every play even with the Chiefs being allowed to let their right tackle cheat. Bad take.
