2023 NFL Season - Week 4: Jets vs Chiefs

So I'm guessing the big breaking news at halftime will be that Aaron Rodgers has announced his retirement. Or demanded a trade to the Vikings.

 

Even if Rodgers was Qb, this team isn’t winning tonight with this garbage display of defense.

 

Did Jermaine Johnson beat-up a ref or something? I've never seen a guy suffer more blatant holds, downright tackles, without holding being called. This is like the game against Dallas X10 with respect to the officiating.

That said, it's not changing the score, but I'm sick of it. Compare it to the ticky-tac personal foul called on Johnson during the first series, then watch him getting taken down like a steer at the rodeo without a call.

 

Why would they? D has been doing this for 2+ years. Not again with Zach. They know to protect their bodies.

I like how the coaching staff elected to punt down 10-0 and a 4th and 1 at midfield. I guess they're "playing it safe" to "keep the defeat respectable"... their cluelessness makes me sick.

 

So we go to Gipson over Hardman. He might as well demand a trade after tonight.

I can deal with the Jets sucking, I'm in my 60s so I'm used to it, but this year was supposed to be different. I bought Sunday Ticket to watch every week and am going to Vegas to see the Jets on my birthday. I'm not alone--everyone here has a similar story filled with expectations and hope and it was all gone in four plays and we're watching the same crap again.
