I am more disappointed in the guard. If Becton focuses in the inside pass rusher the outside man has a clear path to the QB.
id love to know the coaching staffs HONEST opinion if they think Zach can even be good enough to be an average starter in this league someday.
What happened with Becton on that 3rd and 4, did he fall down or dive down? Either way, not good. The pass rusher stepped right over him and got pressure on Zach
I loved the stop on the right edge when JJ took on the TE/RT double-team and stuffed the back. It was right after they were giving lip service to Hayden Hurst for his intensity.
That play aside I feel like Becton is moving around pretty well and moving some people. I'm fairly encouraged. It'd be huge for the Jets if he can be even league average this year.
Totally disagree, Bam, Carter and the rookie are all serviceable if Breece isn’t ready at the start. RB is the position that ages the fastest, so Vet RB is just a waste.
IDK every time I see Becton he is standing around with no defender near him at the end of the play, I don’t think he ever starts for us this year.
Ok. I doubted JJ last year. I was pretty vocal that I thought he was an immediate impact player on run defense but had my doubts of he could develop into a DE that warranted a first round pick. But He looks like a stud. It's not just this game. It was last week and everything that has been reported in camp so far. Remember, some experts had him going in the top 10/15 picks in last year draft. I'm excited about this guy.
there was one play where becton chipped the rusher to help the guard, went to the 2nd level and pushed the defender who spun out of the push and made the tackle. looked like if he had stayed with his block the runner would have gotten more than 2-3 yards.
