yah...but they also like to move JFM inside on passing downs too, and then rotate all those DE's

It's not confusing. Douglas isn't that good. He bungled the AR trade with that unnecessary pick swap, and then didn't have a plan B set up in case what happened happened.

On the flip side, maybe this kid will work out? Can never have too many edge rushers. Can this staff get the best out of him?

Not a pick anyone saw coming. Once the Steeler jumped ahead we should have traded back. Someone would have given us something to move back. We reached at 15.

Trading back of New England knowing how much Belli hates us was just moronic by Jd, like Greenbay wouldn't do this deal without the pick swap gimme a fucking break

Bowling ball full of knives …. bowling ball full of …. ehh … knives.

My only concern is his name. Will McDonald IV. People with even numbered Roman numerals are generally untrustworthy. A rule to live by. First established when Edward The Longshanks was succeeded by his pansy son.

That pick sucked my enthusiasm for the rest of the draft. What do we have left, 4 picks? I’ll just find out from you fine folks who we get the rest of the way. Enjoy your night everyone (or try to)

A number of analysts seem to like the pick. I don't know enough of the kid to make an informed decision. Once you get out of the to 10ish picks, team boards and analyst boards really diverge. You have to trust in the guys with scouts reporting to them and getting paid to make these decisions.

That being said, the reaction to this pick gives me Bryan Thomas vibes.

I feel like, every year, the jets leave the draft with all kinds of “great picks” that end up flopping. At least that’s up until the last couple years. Maybe a rough draft turns out ok this time :)

The pick took so long to be submitted, I'm sure they were looking for a trade down that didn't materialize. That being said, I'm not mad at the pick. McDonald has a ton of potential and we need edge/linebacker. As much as I was hoping for JSN, there's a reason no WR has been taken and we're 19 picks in.

Considering how long it took them to make this pick, they most likely tried to trade it.

I’m not excited but hopefully this pick works out. We’ve been drafting defensive line in the first round for years. It hasn’t translated to wins but yet we continue to do it year after year.

Do you know what else we do year after year? Lose.

    Pretty good point.

I just wish we didn’t have to watch every draft room always shaking hands and congratulating each other after submitting their pick. Just once I’d like to see the GM look over at the head coach, shrug and say, “Eh. Whatever.”

Our third Iowa State Cyclone Breece Hall, Allen Lazard and now McDonald. Hopefully he works out like his fellow school mates.
