I wouldn't be thrilled, but the Jets could still succeed signing a Baker Mayfield, Gardner Minshew, Sam Darnold, Jacoby Brissett, Andy Dalton type. Those players don't get handed the starting job. It allows Zach Wilson to compete and hopefully earn the starting job back. I would put Tannehill in that same range, but he would be handed the starting job, in my opinion. As would Rodgers and Garoppolo clearly.
All of those guys would give me a great excuse to schedule many Sunday fishing trips to Pt. Pleasant, NJ.
A, I think RW demanded certain things in the O as well as other stuff. It was a shotgun marriage that was doomed to fail... imho and frankly others more int he know.

there’s definitely something to this line of thinking for sure while any of Dalton, Minshew, Winston, Brissett and the like would be a massive upgrade for us, from worst in the league to middle of the pack, none of those names would inspire much interest, let alone excitement, in the fan base. Ain’t no one gonna go crazy with joy at the thought of Andy Dalton or the like. they need to do something bigger I think

How do the saints make this trade happen? I mean making cap room is easy but they are one of the teams in term of space and his contract is kinda large. And he needs to be gone before the 15th or his 40m becomes guaranteed I think. Will be interesting to see this play out and then what we do

The fiddling with the glasses when she pressed the Rodgers question was revealing. It means Woody is interested in the proposition. Taking them off would have been a "stop bothering me with that question" move. I'm sure Woody has been coached heavily on not directly talking about the Jets interest in Rodgers due to tampering concerns but he's clearly interested.
