If the Yankees don't resign their franchise 2nd basemen, he will finish his career with bottom feeder teams and probably never sniff a playoff run again unless he is traded midway through the season due to need.

I need someone to show me a dumber, losing baseball player.

I was wrong about the Stroman signing. I thought he was a solid pickup, but he's melted down the 2nd half

He only has one pitch that he knows how to throw and that’s the slider away to right handed hitters. If it’s not biting he’s not getting anyone out.

Someone needs to teach him an effective sinker or 2-seamer that rides in and a change up. You can’t be a pitch to contact hitter with only one decent slider and a shitty cutter.

Well he was like 3 for 4 on the night. He’s been pretty hot for the last month.

He could go 4-4 the rest of the year and bat .700 in the playoffs. He will create enough losing moments for it to not matter.

Rizzo has been swinging the bat better lately. And one can hope Stanton is hitting that one month where he literally hits everything before he reverts to the mean.

Just worried any extended breaks for guys like that will effect their streaks

Ha funny thing is your not wrong by many metrics. Verdugo definitely gets in his head and has had a bad year. I thought he would be a great addition.

He would have to do it for like 4 more years to build up the amount of discontent.

I really hate the week off. I don’t think it benefits a baseball player like it does football players because it’s such a rhythm sport.

Astros gone. Orioles gone. The Yanks really have no excuses this year. 3/4 of the teams in the past two World Series have played in the WC round though.

Wooow. 2 on no outs and can’t produce a run.

Don't give up yet. He still might come up big rest of this game.

Stanton hurt the Yankees twice on the bases.

They need to knock out the royals pitcher, they are running out of arms

At this point it feels like Bob Costas signed a lifetime contract and whoever owns it is not letting him out of it

I know he’s gotten tagged and it’s only 3-1 but I just don’t think you burn through your already shitty bullpen this early.
