2022 Yankees Thread

Had chances buuuuuuuuuuuuuut as usual...cold bats at the worst times.
Did not expect this game to be close... a wasted eff from TY

 

Welp, all I want to see next game is the middle of the order shuffle. Won't win many games with 5/6 performing like it did tonight.

Sad part is I'm not super confident they will change it.

 

seems to be the theme for a very long time now.
18 of the 22 runs in the post season on home runs. I love a home run as much as anyone, but it’s the only source of runs? I would much prefer small ball.

 

I can’t stand watching Torres bat lately. Every swing is for a moon shot. Where the hell is the hitting coach telling him to calm the f down and make contact? I get that home runs sell seats all season long, but the ratio to at bats doesn’t win championships, and I thought that’s what the Yankees were about.

 

Torres rn should be hitting 5th - 7th RN.

 

I can't stand Kay on the call... I think he's awful but his commentary, clubhouse talk and radio talk he really is solid.

Have to agree w/him here...
I'm thinking this was a get right game .... that's the only logical way to look at Boone's choices

Not sure if you guys picked up on this but it looked like the Yankees were looking offspeed all night. Verlander and the pen pounded the strike zone with fastballs especially in 0-2 counts and they looked shocked.

 

Carpenter looked fucking lost. There's no way that guy can be in the lineup tonight

 

Is todays lineup out yet? I’m really hoping they realize carpenter isn’t ready and Donaldson should be at least dropped to 8th.

 

Neither team has posted a lineup yet.

 

Houston just posted theirs. Yanks should be up soon.

 

Winning tonight would be huge. We would be coming home with our 1 and 2 vs their 3 and 4.

Ok, about as much as we could expect. Lefty tonight basically made the choice of taking Carp out

 

Much better, Donaldson needs to start doing something. As does Torres .

 

Every night there's stats that show Yankee hitters with low batting averages against the Astros starter, and an Astro hitter or 2 after their big guys who just hit the Yankees starter real well

 

Glad to see Bader leading off they need a table setter.
