Cole is throwing some BB's out there to start the game off. Yankees top three hitters looked dreadful to start the game too.

Hitting .191 Gardner needs to be bunting all day here.

I passed on tonight's game, probably all weekend also. Just like the Jets for 10 yrs, celtics last year.... team just isn't worth making time for, I'll watch when I'm not doing anything. My sports teams have been no source of happiness.

Im convinced Stanton decides on if he's swinging before the pitch is thrown pretty much everytime and rarely adjusts after the throw.

If they don't make the playoffs, which they won't, I expect Boone and Cashman to be fired and they announce they signed Brett Garbage-pail for 4 more years!

He’s really carrying the team with Judge out.

I've also very rarely seen a two handed follow through like he it's almost no follow through because his upper body looks so stiff after the point of contact.

Once his arms get past the point of the plate it looks like his upper body is fighting with resistance to let his arms go any further. I never saw enough of him to know if he's always been like this? Maybe don't swing so fucking hard?

Fill-in host on WFAN (Chris Moore maybe? Didn't catch his name other than Chris) is also making a good point about how for the last decade the whole fucking team is hurt at all times. And fingernail bruises are month long injuries.

Never heard of anyone in any sport hurting their quads as much as these Yankees have.

Stanton changed his stance after he was hit in the face by a pitch.

Stanton catches a lot of shit because if his massive contract and the fact that the Yankees won't play in him the field. And he's not the most personable guy either. But he is one if the top hitters on the team, even though that's not saying much these days.

I think the Stanton debacle is more on Cashman than it is the player itself. Unless they're really letting him dictate behind closed doors that he doesn't want to play the field (I doubt it)?

It's amazing that they trot out a horrible defensive team and are protecting a hitter that hits .260 from playing the field because of injuries and his perceived bad fielding.

Gallo is a decent player and I read about the prospects and it looks like they were all low/high-A players as the Rangers opted for volume of prospects with upside rather than top end players. The best guy they gave up was one of the pitchers I think and most of the hitters were just contact middle infielders (go figure - they need contact hitters).

He has a good swing for Yankee stadium and plays good defense. The issue is that he is yet another heavy strikeout guy. He's improved his OBP a ton from early on in his career. But we're just adding another boom or bust home run hitter to add to the Stanton/Judge/Sanchez mix among others that strikeout way too much.

I would've much preferred Starling Marte.

Yankees might get Rizzo, good they are balancing the lineup but we will continue to be one of the worst BA teams in the league.

Also, in my opinion if they don't resign him its not a very good deal. I had either Glayber or Luke being the odd man out... it's looking like Luke.
