We were a pretty balanced team run pass in the first half. The reason we went run heavy in the 4th is because of one reason and one reason only. The Bills could not stop the run. Teams that are balanced run pass win in the playoffs period end stop.
He's definitely not to be taken lightly. I think our defense can contain him. If we can contain Allen we can contain him. But as he gets more experience he's going to become a very good FQB for Da Bears.
It's definitely a combination.. I agree with that. Running backwards, creating unnecessary pressure for himself, playing hero ball, getting away from his fundamentals and mechanics.. Those are the mental mistakes we just can't have and I think we are seeing the opposite outcome happening after BB got a hold of our young QB. Sam Darnold.. Seen Ghosts. Never recovered. I truly believe that was the game that ruined him. Zach Wilson... The Josh Allen advice/praise... It looks like ZW may actually have benefited from BB putting him through hell last week. Play within your means, within the teams means. Be a professional, take what Is there.. Very positive sign after such an ugly game last week. I was worried because of what we saw happen to Darnold In a very similar situation and game. I give this CS and FO a shit ton of props too. We might actually have the right fucking people In that building for a change. I just hope, for all of us, we benefit from this regime for years and years to come.
The Jets can beat the Bears as long as they don’t take them lightly …. Assign a spy to Fields. The Jets defense is NOT Miami’s defense.
That was my take after last week's game. It was either going to make him or break him. It broke Sam. It made Zach.
I was very afraid this would end up being a potentially ruining game for Wilson as well. Just the mere fact that he didn't melt down and throw bad picks was a huge relief. To actually win the game with everyone from Ashtyn Davis to Robinson to Denzel Mims pitching in was just incredible. Somebody posted earlier it was the best win in 10 years... I think I agree with that.
This was impressive. To be quick enough to keep up with Allen and strong enough to take him down is a hell of a combo. And when you see JJ in person he’s just an impressive looking dude. His strength and speed is unique.
I have to admit I was disappointed that they didn't try to score another TD when they got the ball back so close to the Bills EZ, or at least kick another FG. After what the Bills did them to last year, it wouldn't have been out of line.
One of the differences is that the team is significantly better all round. Darnold never had a chance after that ghosts game. Everyone knew he could be rattled and he had no run game, no TE, no WRs to bail him out. And the D wasn't going to keep good teams to below 20 very often, if ever. I'm not saying it would have made a difference with Sam, but Zach has all these things. He doesn't have to be the guy. He just has to not be really bad and step up with the key throws every now and then. Yesterday he did that perfectly.
Creating depth is the key and it showed vs the Bills. We lost several key players and yet Saleh had faith and made believers on this team. I am glad they stick with ZW as the training wheels are off . He has to learn from the game last week and rebound, and he did! How many of you thought “oh boy what a disastrous start right off the gate on a muffed kick and a 20+ yard pass play that Bills could have scored 7-0 in the first minute???? I was Thinking “oh boy that’s not going to be a good day”. And they turned it around quickly, thanks to Reed’s INT!
