My thoughts as well. This will be a really hard game to win. It will be really difficult to throw or run against their defense and Russel Wilson can make plays with his scrambling like he did to Dulcich last week. If we keep on giving Wilson chances like we gave Rodgers in the 1st half last week he will score. I could see us getting blown out in this game quite easily. I am going to keep up with my perfect track record of picking our opponent and take the Broncos in an easy win. Once they get ahead of us it will be very hard to get back in the game and will likely lead to a large blowout loss.
Some interesting notes form Jets X Factor about the effectiveness of rushing using 11 personnel vs 12 personnel. I wonder how this will work with our recent trend of using much more 12 personnel. https://jetsxfactor.com/2022/10/20/ny-jets-formula-success-broncos-defense/
Disagree on the blowout part. The Jets defense is legit IMHO. The Broncos have been terrible on offense. I think this will be a low scoring game. I do think the Jets will win but I would not be shocked if they lost a close one. I don't see a blowout either way.
I hope we win but playing from behind vs the Bronco defense could easily result in a blowout. For the Jets to win or play competitive it is important they stay ahead or keep the game close. R. Wilson has the ability to play off schedule and make plays resulting in TDs against a defense that is playing well. Playing against the Bronco defense could be very ugly if we become one dimensional.
The broncos have the lowest scoring offense in the NFL, they aren't blowing anyone out. We could lose 10-6 or something of that nature but to me a blowout is a win by 20+ and the Broncos have only put up more than 20 points twice and both times it was 23. I see us scoring more than 3 points so I don't see a world where we get blown out.
I call on the gods to ignore this post, he did not say those things and he did not tempt fate at all.
The Broncos are averaging 15 points per game for the season. The most they tallied was 23 in loss to the Raiders. A good comparison for their upcoming tilt with the Jets was their week 3 game where they bested the Niners 11-10. Looks like we can expect a similar score this weekend with the Jets notching the victory.
It's a really really big game. Chances are likely they lose to NE & Buffalo in the 2 weeks following. This is a winnable game that you have to have. Otherwise it becomes 4-5 and a 3 game losing streak in the blink of an eye
This game will be tough for sure….denver is hard and we never seem to win there…their defense is legit but we HAVE to beat NE…we need to slay that dragon for sure….
I think the Jets are 50/50 in Denver on Sunday. If they get control early they are very capable of maintaining against a reeling Broncos offense that has not played well overall this year.
I read this somewhere where supposedly the Packers handpicked the Jets to play after the previous week's London game. Is there an actual proof on this? I've heard of the teams in the London game having the option to take their bye week the next week, but never heard of being able to handpick your next opponent. Biggest reason I question it is because the Giants had to play the Ravens as their next game... and I'd assume that wasn't their preferred opponent.
I think the choice was to play the Jets or take a bye, not handpicking the jets as such, obviously, they thought we were shit and choose to play us and take a later bye so they could be rested for their play off challenge.
I don't know about the Broncos special teams but our special teams have played a huge role in our wins so far. I wouldn't be surprised if they help us win this game too.
