They are giving up 105 ypg on the ground, not sure if that is the result of teams running more because they can't get the pass game going but if the Jets can get a lead and get the ground game going, I think that is the way to beat them. I think the O line feels they can push anyone around in the run game so let them show it again this Sunday.
After watching the game last night, I feel confident enough to go with the Jets in this one. Denver has a great defense, probably the best one we’ve faced up to this point, so it won’t be an easy task. Denver’s offense looks rough though. I think a gameplan similar to the one we implemented against GB would work as well. Generate natural pressure against Russ, establish the run game, and keep the pocket clean for Zach. We do those things and I think we win an ugly, low-scoring game. However, to keep the trend going… Sheer optimism Jets 19 Broncos 13
So far, every time I vote for the Jets to lose, they WIN. I see no reason to change what’s seems to be working.
I agree with you 100%. The Jets D is legit and with the way Broncos are going on offense the Jets should do well in this matchup. On the flip side the Jets offense will probably struggle as Denver's D is also very good. I feel more confident in the Jets offense making a big play or going on a nice drive to win the game then I do Denver. Stating the "Captain Obvious" just avoid turnovers and don't give the Broncos a short field and the Jets should be fine. My pick Jets 17 Broncos 13
To say their offense looks rough is an understatement. That offense is the worst offense in football and I don’t think it’s particularly close.
they never win in PA (until this season) they never win in GB (until this season) they were terrible against the division ... although a small sample size that changed (this year) they never win at mile high ... GO JETS
Well said. This year, we are winning games that seemed difficult before season started. Hope the trend continues in Denver. If Russ can't play, we will probably be the favorites to win the game.
I watched last nights game Lemme just say our Defense is head and shoulders better than The Chargers That said I agree this will be a repeat of GB and a disaster for Russ Wilson Can I dare to get cocky and predict a 2 TD Jets win? Zach has to be careful with the ball and feed our 2 beasts Carter and Hall should take care of business)
Wilson has also been playing with a torn labrum which will take weeks to heal. If the Jets can apply the same suffocating Defense they did against the Packers it should pave the way. Go Jets!
I love how the narrative for this game has changed. Before the season: "Okay, let's try to win a tough game on the road. Russell Wilson and the Broncos could be Super Bowl contenders, but these young Jets could pull an upset. Any given Sunday." Now: "I hope the Jets don't blow this game against a weak and dysfunctional Russell Wilson led Broncos team. Trap game! Don't want to look past Denver with the Patriots headed to Met Life next week."
This is also a reminder that when the schedule gets released in the spring it's impossible to predict if the schedule will be hard or easy. I bet everyone had Denver as a tough game since they made the trade for Wilson. The Jets were going to be an easy game because SOJ. Well look at it now.
Sounds like Russ might not even suit up on Sunday for the Broncos. Have to wait and see what the MRI says.
Back in 2020. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RypiBr00/gamelog/ Actually didn't have a terrible game. 19/31 242 2TDs 3INTs in a 37-28 W. If Pierre Desir can get 2 picks against Rypien, I can't wait to see what DJ and Sauce can do!
I was going to post a similar statement... was not overly impressed with them and feel if we can sustain pur play like we did last week we will win.
