Couldn't reply because the threads was locked, but Douglas hit it out of the park in the past draft. Will you give him credit? Doubtful. @BacktoQueens
The Jets won 2 in a row for the 1st time in a long time AND won a division game for the 1st time in a long time. Who are these guys?! Break up the Jets.
Today, Zach completed 66% of his passes with 10 yards per attempt, and didn't have any picks or fumbles. He's 2-0 starting this year for a team that many people thought wouldn't win any of these first five games. There's plenty to improve, but for a guy just starting his second year, that's exactly where one would hope he would be. If you want to look at what "needs to be better" looks like for a 2nd year QB, check out Trevor Lawrence today -- 53% completion rate, 6.1 yards per attempt, 2 interceptions.
No complaints but lets keep our heads in check. we beat back to back rookie QB's including a 7th rounder.
Yes, there were some mistakes, but there were also some big time plays. Gardner's hit on Teddy on the first play really set the tone! Zach did as well as you could ask. Again, the OL was pretty leaky, but he didn't panic. The one sack for a big loss happened because he never saw the guy coming from his blind side. He probably should've should gone down immediately rather than try to scramble, but it didn't cost them. LaFleur was mixing things up and keeping the Dolphins off balance pretty well, and didn't dial up a bunch of pass plays, and they got the running game - especially Breece going. Saying Zach needs to be better is being too picky IMO.
This is an extra-sweet win b/c it's the Dolphins. I grew up in the time where the Jets-Dolphins was a good rivalry. Jets-Patriots was never much of a rivalry. It was more like a multi-decade slaughter (of the Jets).
Does this mean that all the Jets fans whining about our losses last year should have kept their heads in check because we were playing with a rookie QB?
