You can’t see the writing on the wall? I can already envision it. Jets big road win yesterday, coming home with their opponent missing their starting QB. Jets come in as 3 point dogs with all the praise and hype leading up to the game. Maybe we have a shot? Our secondary is playing pretty well, we can match up vs Hill and Waddle. Boom. Jets get blown out by 20. I've seen this same song and dance for 20+ years. It's nothing new... I hope I'm wrong.
If they lose I won't be surprised either. I have seen this happen many times. My point is the Jets will be ready to play and won't suffer an emotional letdown like you see happen in sports all the time. I think it will be a close game but the Jets can't keep relying on 4th quarter rallies to win games.
No surprise here. (7) JosinaAnderson on Twitter: "#Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel announces Tua Tagovailoa will be OUT vs. the #Jets. Tua is still in the concussion protocol." / Twitter
Jets-Fins. Anything can happen and has over the years. I'm just hoping the Jets are within 2 scores with 2 minutes to go because we know how that turns out this year.
sketchy for a win...40/60.... their win v Bills was at least mildly flukey with Bills going up and down the field all day and managing not to score...
This is actually a pretty bad spot for the Jets if you believe spots are a thing in sports (I do). The Dolphins desperately need some good publicity with all the Tua stuff and are coming off a long week to prepare with someone who appears to be a pretty good game planner. I still don’t really know what to think about this one though. Vegas caps it Jets +3 as home dawgs. 2-2 versus 3-1 with a backup quarterback would generally tells me Vegas still doesn’t trust the Jets. MetLife should be rocking though. First time the Jets haven’t been under .500 in October since the 18th century. This defensive line is a whole other animal than the Steelers. Just puking out some thoughts on this one. I haven’t really formulated a prediction yet.
It definitely used to be in the 2000’s. Maybe not 50/50 but the Dolphins presence was frustrating. That’s faded over the years as the Dolphins have been just as irrelevant as the Jets. It also created the most vicious old man fights I’ve ever seen of any opponents.
I was at MetLife last year for the Dolphin game and it was almost even. Maybe being 2-2 with some momentum might change that.
This is true for the past 10 years or so. Once the team starts winning regularly I expect more Jets fans to be at the stands
