Is the weather gonna be shitty? That might force MLF into the ground and pound game this one is going to require.
As of now accuweather has game time at 37 degrees but a steady breeze making it feel like 27 degrees. The Lions as a dome team probably won’t be too comfortable ….
I was hoping for that game plan even when White was the projected QB. The Jets would be wise to simply eat up time and let the defense do it’s thing…the Lions aren’t the same team on the road.
That should be the game plan as long as ZWilson is behind center. At least for the rest of this year anyway.
It's a good game plan for any team that plays in the northeast. It's what the Jets should be aiming for long term. A solid ball control offense and a great defense. This makes the playoffs and wins playoff games at home in January. You do this because you want to stay true to your offensive scheme and master it and you want to be able to dictate to the opponent in any type of weather. The scheme is good in bad weather and it is sound when the playing conditions are good. The best Jets teams have always done this. Even the good Namath teams ran the ball as much as they passed.
Have you tried emailing Mike LeFleur this information? I have a feeling he might find it useful considering his Air Raid tendencies.
Yeah, it is. When the media thinks they have no chance, the Jets win. When the media starts to believe in the Jets, they lose. A lot of them are picking the Lions this week.
If they haven’t got a dozen scripted plays of things they know Zach can do well at this point the whole staff should be let go for malpractice.
