Saleh said Zach got most of the first team reps.

Don't think that'll be a legit excuse. Sounds like Zach's gotten most of the practice reps this week.

This is such BS. Not "approving a player for contract" over bruised ribs has never happened in league history. There are multiple QBs, including Herbert, whose rib cartilage is already torn, playing with bruised ribs. Purdy has basically the same injury as White and he played on a short week. Plenty of QBs have played with cracked ribs.

I don't understand why they are implying this is a medically enforced benching by doctors. Plenty of players, including QBs, have played with broken ribs. Its fishy that were acting like its the doctors that benched him.

Maybe there's more wrong with him?

Maybe there is something they are hiding?

My point is why cant we just say we want to rest his ribs and quit acting like this was a doctors decision. It might fool some fans but its not fooling the league.

Looks like they are fractured. You run the risk of a punctured lung.

A doctor benching over ribs has never happened in league history. Plenty of QBs have played with cracked ribs. Are we setting precedent?

Fractured and cracked are different things.

This isn't just our team doctors.

MW talked to 10 different doctors trying to get clearance and didn't get it from anyone.

Take the tin foil hats off guys.

I would like to change my vote form Jets to Lions. IMHO the only way we will win this is if we do a run heavy O and limit ZW passing...

Fractured, cracked, broken... semantics. Theyre the same, outside of different levels of fracturing

If this is genuinely the concern, then he should be out the rest of the year. Cracked ribs take several weeks to fully heal.

Again, plenty of QB have played with cracked ribs. Both Romo and Luck played most of a season with them. Aaron Rodgers currently has a rib injury so bad he was struggling to breath, and he is still in consideration to start.

If we are really that concerned about White's long term health, that's fine. But nobody is forcing him to the bench. This is a team decision, not a league decision.

And he may very well be out the rest of the year. This feels like a week-to-week kinda thing now.

The fact that MW went to 10 different doctors and none of them cleared him to play on Sunday should tell you all you need to know about the situation.

Saleh, JD, and everyone are handling this the right way. It would be one thing if half of the doctors cleared him and the other half didn't IMO but with 10 having a unanimous opinion on this situation, it makes it pretty clear. This is also probably the reason Zach has gotten the majority of practice reps this week. Feels like Saleh knew this was coming from the start of the week.

I hope the OLine are proud of themselves for all that protection they gave MW last week.

Saleh didn't know right away. Saleh announced on Tuesday that they were planning on starting Mike White, and that his health was trending in the right direction.
