we now know the correct decision was made to bench him... while tar and feathering seems to us like a joke, it isnt for the person with the boiling tar on their ass
It doesn’t make sense for him to play against any team … separated shoulder and ac joint or whatever. We’re not talking about bruised ribs. If he gets hit directly - and with his style of play he will - an injury like that goes from 2-4 weeks to 6 months. The whole thing sounds strange with how they’re talking about him possibly starting. Are the Bears that crazy of an organization? This isn’t exactly the super bowl come Sunday. I’m beginning to think this is just gamesmanship to have the Jets prepare for two QBs…..
Right that's my overall point regarding the injury. I'm just using this upcoming game against the Jets to illustrate my general concern. I say shut him down for the rest of the season, but the fact that he is still questionable to me is ridiculous. Someone had mentioned prior that Qb's play with this type of injury but his style of play one should not even consider risking his health. BTW, the gamesmanship thought is a good one. I hadn't thought about it.
Weather outlook tomorrow calling for 80% rain for most of the game. Probably will be some fumbles out on that slick turf. It will be a battle for who can hang on to the rock. Go Jets.
NBC sports just reported the Bears activated Nathan Peterman to their roster for tomorrow. They still “don’t know” if Fields will play. Teams don’t usually have 3 active QBs on their game day roster ….
It would be so hilarious if Peterman ends up playing. Dude's a zombie that pops up right when you think he's finally dead.
He's Karl from Die Hard. You thought he choked to death, but he pops up in the end to throw 5 more interceptions.
The Green Bay game was on FOX which was odd considering the Jets were the road team. Usually it’s vice versa for an inter conference FOX game with the AFC team being home like tomorrow. They changed all that up a couple of years ago ….
