Not at all! We know the Jets have the opportunity to draft four potential impact players early but when has it ever worked out that way? No draftee comes with a guarantee. Far too many guys here have always counted the draft eggs before they hatch; could we just wait a season before we start setting anyone up for the Hall of Fame, or even the Pro Bowl?

But I agree with him and I probably have him by ten also. I think it's largely the younger guys with the need for instant gratification (they came to the wrong place). With patience comes the ability to see things as they are and how that reflects the past. It also gives the perspective to not be afraid to call the duckling ugly, hoping that it's the one that changes the most.

It looks bad, but it is a little skewed since the Jets did go (10-6) in 2015 and missed the playoffs via tiebreaker. Since 2015, the Jets have been horrendous though. No one can deny that. I think there is a good chance this chart will change in 2022.

Eh it’s not skewed dude. That’s how it goes. The Phins missed the playoffs at 10-6 last year. Rams 9-7 in 2019. Colts, Chargers, Dolphins and Saints all missed the playoffs at 9-8. Titans, Broncos, Buccaneers missed at 9-7 in 2016. 4 9-7 teams missed in 2014.

    It’s the way it falls.

I get all the HC talk and hand wringing, but this franchise goes as Zack Wilson goes. ZW = 99.99% of the equation.

I wonder how this chart changes if it's "Last Playoff Win" for each team? 50% of those teams would probably disappear to the left of Jets2010. Like the Lions haven't won a PO game in over 30 years....stuff like that.

We’re still tied for 6th with the Bears in that regard. We’re only ahead of Cincinnati, Detroit, Miami, Vegas and the WFT.

Going a little further back, in 2008, the Fins, Ravens and Pats each won 11 games, and finished the regular season in a 3-way tie.

The Pats didn't have the tie-breakers, and didn't make the playoffs.

It's kind of a stupid article in some ways. The Honeymoon will be over in 2023 IMO.

He’s not making any changes to his staff, expect more of the same next year. The blueprint is already in place, 4 games and battle for draft position.

The only good thing is that JD can fire Saleh whenever he wants next year and hire someone who may have some experience on their resume.

That's been confirmed? How awful if true... Saleh is not cut out for the big chair

Of course it hasn't been confirmed. Save the hand wringing for a few more months.

I’ll try and find article I read it in, and reference it for you.

This is the excerpt from Rich Ciminis article…..

New York Jets advance to next stage in rebuilding: Time to deliver real results……

A defensive-minded coach, Saleh has to take a hard look at the unit and determine whether the problem was personnel, scheme or coaching -- or all of the above. Does he take over the playcalling? On Monday, he publicly committed to retaining his offensive and defensive coordinators, meaning Jeff Ulbrich gets another shot with the defense. Saleh, in Year 2, will have to raise internal expectations and the level of urgency.
