It's definitely not Gase or Gore's fault. Why would they tank for Trevor when neither of them would be here to have Trevor as their QB? We could blame Woody/Chris, but it isn't really their job to meddle in football decisions. This is on Douglas for not ordering that Falk play QB after the Raiders game (and firing Gase if Gase refused to do it).
This could actually end up being a blessing in disguise for the Chargers. They weren't Super Bowl contenders, and this choke ensures Staley will get fired. And if there's any team Sean Payton would want to coach, it's the Chargers.
Yes, you are correct. Douglas runs the football part and after the Raider miracle, he should have made sure we played our 3rd string QB. Strings weren't pulled. Never get over this seriously.

He’s not even close. Best QB in 20 years? Cmon. he showed resilience I give him that, but generational QBs don’t throw 4 early picks in a home playoff game. The Jags managed a win despite the hole their QB dug. The coaching on Chargers was just so weak. After the lead, way too conservative on D, took foot off gas on O, undisciplined penalties, missed FG. Was almost hard to lose but they found a way. Contrast that to Peterson calling it aggressive. That was difference imo.
Peyton Manning lost his first 3 playoff games with terrible stat lines with comp percentages in the 40’s Including this one with the Jets. “Manning was a miserable 14-for-31 for 137 yards and two interceptions” One game cannot define a generational talent, Lawrence is certainly capable of being that. Too early to tell but this comeback is definitely a step in that direction.
Or in an alternate universe, Ravens and Dolphins win and the Jags host another game. But kidding aside, the AFC playoffs this years QBs are insane Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Herbert, Lawrence and the other 2 teams because of Tua and Lamar. ALL FIRST ROUNDERS
