He prob gets 3 for 105 which would put him around 10th in the league AAV. Goff makes 33 AAV for comparison. I don't envy being Joe Schoen right now. That Barkley situation is going to be a disaster as well. He already said he wants to be paid the highest RB in the league. Really gonna give him 16 a year like CMC? Doubt it. Would you rather miss the playoffs like the Jets did, or say make the playoffs, beat the Titans in Tennessee, then get blown out and embarrassed by the Bills 38-7 in the divisional round? That is basically what the Giants did. I would take Option B. Sucks getting blown out by a rival, but it shows the team is making progress at least.
Not gonna lie that's a horrible situation to be in. I'd let Barkley walk if that's what he wants and franchise Jones. I need to see more before commmitting long term. I still think Jones is fools gold ala Colin Kapernick under Harbaugh, and yes I do realize he almost won the Super Bowl. But Jones is not the long term answer as Kap proved not to be either.

True but I will say this. If the Giants played in the AFC they probably don't make the playoffs. They were 0-5 against the Cowboys/Eagles this year. I don't think the Giants are any closer than the Jets. Matter of fact, the Jets actually beat a real team this year unlike the Giants.

The reason I'm picking Dallas is just because it's long overdue. They have choked so many times in the divisional round. Something has to break eventually. Head tells me 49ers but I think Dallas is playing with house money and are dangerous. Everyone expects them to lose but I think favoring a rookie QB is risky.

Daboll is clearly a better coach so far but the Giants are severely lacking in talent and I don't think that's something they can just fix overnight.
Yeah, I think most would agree the Jets have the better overall roster. Daboll outcoached Saleh in 2022 for sure, but the jury is still out on both.
