With almost half the draft still on the board, I wonder if JD will trade any of our 2023 back-end draft for another grab this year? He seems 2b on fire! Or maybe enough is enough, time to focus on potential UDFAs?
He will have to be. The question is who makes the roster on DL. We might end up signing another DT or target a UDFA to be a run stuffer. If we carry 10 DL there will be some cuts. Edge lawson JJ Martin Huff Curry Clemons DT Q JFM Rankins Shepherd Thomas Marshall Phillips
I'm fascinated to learn more about this process. Seems as important as the last two rounds, maybe more so.
Lifelong Bills fan here; Tip of the cap to JD and the rest of the front office for a fantastic draft this year. It's going to fall on Wilson's shoulders now. If he can take a step in year two, this rebuild is going to be a quick one.
I guess if you go undrafted, any team can offer you an UDFA contract. I read some players hope to NOT get drafted in the 7th round b/c there's a different team that wants them as a FA and will actually pay them more than if they were drafted and they get to chose which team they go to.
We'd be nuts to trade Hall. I really don't get why the team seems to be low-ish on Hall. I thought he stood out as one of our best defenders last year. He doesn't have ball skills so he doesn't get picks but I thought it was pretty clear that he's a solid coverage guy. I felt like he had meaningful pass breakups pretty frequently last year.
We have 2 quality starters and depth with Echols, Gunn, and Carter. I’m sure we wouldn’t give him away but if someone wants a starter with 2 years left on a rookie contract we’d be foolish not to take a 3rd rd pick.
