Scherff's age and injury history worry me, but I think he's still playing at a high level and would be a huge upgrade at RG. Given his career and accolades, I'd expect he gets a pretty huge contract that's more than the Jets are willing to offer. Given Cincy's need at OL, his age and having spent his career on a bad team, that seems like a perfect match. I'm hopeful the Jets will come away with a starting RG in the coming days. Daniels would seem to be a great choice though I'm shocked Chicago might let him get away. They have a lot of cap space and a young QB to protect
Why should it though? JD isn't responsible for the last 10 years of shite drafting or 15 years or whatever. He blew his first draft and I am not having it that Gase wasn't heavily involved in it. Without Gase he has had a good draft, that will be upgraded if the players perform as some expect. Wilson is the one for me, not keen before or on what I have seen (there have been glimpses) AVT Moore Carter RB I am sure that Pinnock and Sherwood will find a role as we move forward Echolls and Carter2 are decent picks as well. The thing is, after all this time why are your expectations so sky-high to be that easily disappointed? If you temper them, then you will be surprised to find that sometimes things are not as bad as you think and in fact, we are on the right road, of course, this draft is crucial, got to hit those first 5 picks, if he does then we could be set to finally resemble a good football team. Maybe when he has this draft in place he will start buying in the finishing pieces that you are craving so much?

The only guy I would even want back is Braxton. Crowder is a goner, Foley has long been rumored to be a goner because he’s not a great scheme fit and also can probably get $10 million per year elsewhere. Maye is a goner. LDT wants to play so I’m sure he wouldn’t resign until he sees the way the right guard situation pans out. Braxton is the only one to worry about and the longer this goes the more it seems like he’s not coming back

I wouldn't be crazy about a Scherff signing; the guy hasn't played a full season in a long time. Fantastic player when on the field though. Also don't believe the Jets go after any of the big name WRs either. I'm expecting a Russell Gage or DJ Chark signing to go along with a WR at 10.
