You're welcome. You may be right that making sharp cuts is not something that can be learned, but I find it odd that in all these years of following football, I have never read or heard anything to that extent. In fact, I continually hear about rookie WRs needing to work on refining their route running every year around draft time and TC. Now maybe, they're talking about other aspects of route running rather than their sharpening their cuts, but it still seems odd to me. You have the two WRs mixed up. Watson is the taller of the two. He's 6'4". He's the one that played at N. Dakota, and the Jets coached at the Sr. Bowl. Dotson is 5'11". and he played at Penn St. I like Watson and hope the Jets draft him. Dotson's a great prospect, but I really want a taller WR rather than another sub 6 footer.
People think the Jets had a bad WR corps last year, but want Robinson… Robinson would have been the 6th most productive WR on the Jets last season. I’m not joking… Berrios, Davis, Moore, Crowder, and even Cole had more productive seasons.
Robinson’s year is well-documented. It was bad. He was also playing with a worse QB in an offense that just got escorted out of town. I don’t want to overpay him but he would be a fantastic signing. Which is why Douglas has no interest. DJ Chark here we come!!!!
Zach Wilson was one of the worst statistical QB’s in the NFL… and why if it was the offense/QB did Darnell Mooney go for over 1,000 yards in the same offense with the same QB?
C'mon, you expect to be taken seriously with an inane post like that? None of the Jets WRs last season are a scab on Robinson's ass. Robinson had a poor season because he was injured, their situation is a mess and their QB play pretty awful. Robinson would be the best Jets WR they had had in a long timel.
I take anything Connor Hughes says with a grain of salt. I've never known him to have any scoop or real news on the Jets.
Are you going to be like this all offseason? I've only been up 10 minutes and must have read 30 negative, sarcastic posts by you already, it's boring and you're a better poster than that tbh.
I don’t care how seriously I’m taken by other people because I know I’m right. Elijah Moore: 11 Games 6 Starts 538 Yards 5TD Corey Davis: 9 Games 9 Starts 492 Yards 4TD Jamison Crowder: 12 Games 4 Starts 447 Yards 2TD Braxton Berrios: 16 Games 1 Starts 431 Yards 2TD Keelan Cole: 15 Games 11 Starts 449 Yards 1TD Allen Robinson: 12 Games 11 Starts 410 Yards 1TD If you want to point to situation as the main reason, A: The Jets offense was atrocious for at least half the season and B: Darnell Mooney: 17 Games 14 Starts 1,055 Yards 4TD Obviously the offense was functional enough to produce a 1,000 yard receiver, and if you point exclusively to injury, why would you want to spend big money on a 29 year old receiver coming off an injury plagued season, who plays a particularly physical style of ball to top it off. This could very easily be the end of Robinson’s career as productive receiver.
Robinson would come here and be like all the other recent big $$$ FA signings, fill his bag and do as little as possible as he counts his last big paycheque towards his pension and retirement. Do not want.
He concentrates on his Star Wars passion and living in his Mother's basement, he has no time to get the "scoop" on Jet's news.
I feel like you spend half the offseason complaining about other people complaining. I hope you’re not on Twitter if you think this is bad. Meltdown city.
Either of these dudes at $15 mil would be a fantastic start to free agency. Both are fantastic players and Mathieu is a fantastic player/leader. Neither would have a $15 mil cap hit but if a high APY is what gets guys going these days, sign me up.
It’s not just him. The problem is people are tired of all the losing to the point where every time a big name comes off the board it induces pain for some. Even if the move in the long run wouldn’t make much sense. It begins to shatter their hopes and confidence that the Jets will have a successful off season. I’m expecting the Jets to make signings but probably not too many splashy ones. They aren’t close enough yet to put the finishing touches on the roster. Right now the draft is much more important for them.
Its even more annoying when a big name that makes perfect sense comes off the board for a price that makes even more sense. Probably why people are upset that we yet again are being told to trust someone who has nothing outside of one fantastic draft under his belt to couple with one abysmal draft. Makes it hard to trust that we’re gonna rebuild through the draft.
Got a bad feeling Berrios is gonezo. Jets clearly gave him a number and his agent wants to test the market… which started at the combine. If he didn’t resign by now that must mean his agent got some good news. I hope he’s back but I also don’t want to overpay a special teamer that looks like he could be your slot guy. $7 mil APY is my max.
