Unless it’s a stacked team, a SB appearance let alone a win would take time to build. Going back 10 years, we have 8 SB winning coaches. 2 have been OC, The other 6 are very highly regarded in the league and those types don’t interview often. What model do you suggest? 6 of 8 had been QB coaches at one point. Zac Taylor was never an OC.
Apparently Leftwich only wants the job if Baalke is out as GM. Baalke got word of this and is now trying to sabotage Leftwich. What a mess.
I don’t understand why the fan base isn’t pushing a “hire Harbaugh” campaign. I’d be all over that. I think Harbaugh would take it for the pure joy of ousting Baalke
For the Jets the only model that will work to get to a Super Bowl is a proven hire given independence to do what they think needs to be done. This is because there is no knowledge elsewhere in the structure of how to build a team successfully. Hiring first time GM's and HC's might work elsewhere in otherwise successful organizations but we're dealing with the short bus management team here and that's not going to work.
The only times the Jets have ever won anything this was true. 4 division titles in the Jets entire history - '68 & '69, teams were built by a proven football guy who won championships with another organization (Weeb), '98 & '02, teams were built by a proven football guy who won championships with another organization (Parcells)
Bills promote QBs coach Ken Dorsey to offensive coordinator https://theathletic.com/news/bills-...dorsey-to-offensive-coordinator/GkogmxTvB2p7/
I didn’t read the whole complaint yet. I just read this. Is there more? “Sorry – I fucked this up. I double checked and misread the text. I think they are naming Brian Daboll. I’m sorry about that. BB.” Bill Belichick informing Plaintiff Brian Flores, three days before his interview with the New York Giants that Brian Daboll had already been selected for the job.
Maybe there is some code of conduct he's breaking, but my guess is he'd simply get fined, lose some draft picks.
Given that he was offering to pay Flores to lose, should be a lifetime ban from the NFL. Though as a Jets fan, I hope that doesn't happen because we don't need the Dolphins turning it around like the Bills already have.
