Leafs extending the longest Stanley Cup drought in NHL history to 57 seasons (the Sabres and Canucks have never won the Cup, but they've only been around for 53 seasons).
One goal, one assist for PJ cementing his legacy to one of the worst free agent decisions of all time that potentially cost two teams a Cup. And I hope he refuses a trade that forces them to have to trade Marner or Nylander. Marner would seem to be the one but who really wants that salary?
The third option would truly be Karma — his beloved home town team wanting to be rid of him so badly they would rather buy him out than have him on the team for his last year.
Marner is a cry baby. Did you see the video from one of the games against Boston where Nylander told him to "stop f*cking crying bro"?
Lou acquiring picks. I like this. New York Islanders on X: "#Isles News: The New York Islanders have acquired a first-round pick (#20) and two second-round picks (#54 and #61) in the 2024 NHL Draft from the Chicago Blackhawks, in exchange for the team’s first-round pick (#18) and second-round pick (#50)." / X
Anders Lee became the third Islander (after Bryan Trottier in 1989 and Doug Weight in 2011) to be awarded the King Clancy Memorial Trophy for being the player who "best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution to the community." Congratulations to the captain. I do wonder if he'll be on the team next year.
Would like to see the Cats win the Cup for KO. Should be a good series. Thank you, Panthers. If the Rangers would have beaten them, then I think they would have won the Cup.
Skinner has been solid for Edmonton, who has been great in front of him. But I don’t see either continuing to play at that level against the Panthers constant pressure. Panthers in 5.
Panthers have beaten two of the top goalies in the league. Skinner was projected by Wayne Gretzky’s brother to be a cup winning goalie 4 years ago. I’m nostalgic about the Oilers since their old school rivalry with Islanders. However the Panthers have been incredibly consistent and them having a top goalie makes me pick them in 6.
My attitude exactly. My cousin the old-time Sixers fan told me that he was rooting for the Mavs against the Celtics in the NBA Finals for exactly the same reason.
They look good and the club will be in an interesting predicament when they name the team and have an actual logo next year. If these sell great they will have to keep them as a third jersey.
Tonight, we get the ultimate game 7. I really don't care who wins as I just want it to be a good game. But if Florida loses, I couldn't imagine the amount of heartache they will go through blowing a 3-0 lead in the SCF. They will never get over that if they lose.
