Claude Julien or Gerard Gallant could be brought in to replace Lame Lambert. Just saying. How many blown leads in the 3rd period do we have to watch. Both of those coaches are better than Lame.

39 seconds into the third. 39 f$&@ing seconds, that’s all it took to give up the lead. It’s almost as if Lamberts plan going into the third is to lose the game.

Nice win tonight 5-4 in OT. I didn't think they would win in Carolina, but they did.

Apparently x + 1, where x is the current number.

I know this is an average team at best but if they could have held on to these leads like the Devils game, they could have been in 2nd place in the division.
With that said I expect them to miss the playoffs. Maybe then the owners will wake up and fire Lou.

Not just a 4-1 lead, a 4-1 lead with less than 10 minutes left in the third period. Unbelievable choke job against a terrible team.

The Islanders have allowed a game-tying goal in the third period in almost one-half of the games this year (11 times in 24 games)!

And they give up a goal with 4.3 seconds left in OT to lose! Lambert should be fired before they get back to the locker room.

The tragedy isn’t that they blew another third period lead it’s that Lambert will still be the coach tomorrow despite it.

Lambert makes Jack Capuano look like Trotz.

Nothing more to add then what has been posted tonight. Up 4-1 with 8 minutes left to the worst team in the league and you don't win. Sad and pitiful.

How in the world is Lame Lambert still employed as HC of the New York Islanders. How many blown leads this year including the inexcusable 4-1 3rd period meltdown to San Jose. Is Lou alive? How can he let this continue and a fuck you to Malkin and Ledecky for keeping him on as GM. He is living off his reputation from 20-30 years ago. He sucks now. I hope UBS is a ghost town going forward and fans don't go to the games. Something has to change.

I wouldn’t be surprised it’s an ownership/financial decision not to fire Lambert.

They are making money at UBS with everything that goes on there from the Islanders, concerts, WWE, and other events. I can't imagine Lambert is making that much certainly not what Trotz was making when he was here.

I'm thinking they need to immediately fire their strength and conditioning coach. The fact that they've had all these 3rd period leads but play like they have cement shoes for skates suggests its more of a conditioning issue. If it was solely coaching they wouldn't have leads in the 3rd period. This team isn't very talented so to get that many leads late you have to give the coaches some credit. They also need to take the blame for not having their players conditioned regardless of who the strength and conditioning coach is, they also get the blame for not getting the team to play D better in the 3rd period.

They're 6-2-1 in their last 9, yet it still feels like they suck at a fundamental level.
