Three turnovers helped with field position and scoring for cin. defense gave up 300 yards, a marked improvement over other games. And they did make a crucial 4th qtr stop. In fact, unlike other games, after an interception they had a turnover on downs at the goal line, after the fumble they only gave up 3, after the missed field goal they forced a punt.
a really fine game by the defense.

No way. Wilson a #2 selection with a big rookie contract, "the future of the Jets." White, a backup, probably making NFL minimum. No matter how well White does from here, expect Wilson to be back in there when he's ready. Just hope Wilson learned something from watching White perform today.

White certainly looked far more impressive than anything we have seen from Wilson so far, or from Darnold for that matter. I'll happily forego some wow throws in favour of simple competence for a while, but let's see how well he does when teams have some tape on him. He for sure looks like he's made himself a decent career as a backup with that performance though.

I was just thinking about Wilson. He really is going to feel the pressure now especially from the NY media….

I think in the long run that’s what he will turn out to be. A very dependable back up - one the Jets need to keep.

Zach shouldn't play until he's ready to both physically and mentally. The team shouldn't care what the media says. And I'd say this even if White had a clunker today.

The way to play it if White plays well is to keep ZW on the active roster in a backup position. Keep him and Joe Flacco on the game day roster and if the Jets get any blowout wins let ZW play in garbage time.

There's no reason right now for the Jets to give up on ZW as an asset moving forward. If White plays well enough to claim the starting QB job, well Aaron Rodgers sat for 3 years running the practice team and it sure didn't hurt him any. Maybe have ZW run the practice team to keep him busy.

Also, I gotta give credit to those young men at CB today, I didn't feel like there were many bad coverage plays today. Even plays where the Bengals got big plays, they were close plays and some of them were just great grabs by the receivers. The Higgins catch was just impressive, and it actually looked like if Saleh challenged it, it could have been overturned, solid outing by the young CB's.

Thanks for the reply, I saw he threw for 4,000 yards and lots of TDS in college in his junior and Senior years. It would be nice if that kind of production translated into some more games.

God help you if you can be anything but happy in this moment. Fuck whatever nitpicky thing you were going to complain about and just enjoy it for the rest of the day. And out candy, go trick-or-treating and then complain tomorrow.

You’re right on both accounts - the team may not care but we don’t know how Zach handles it because you know it’s coming.

He can’t let the media get to him …..

The Jets have matched last year's win total! One more win and this season is better than last season!

Yes and no. Correct about the fans but there are already a couple of tweets I’ve read from reporters drumming up that narrative……believe me it’s coming especially if Wilson has another good game Thursday and that one doesn’t have to be another 400 yard game if they win.

as much as many of us would blow a load if white can put another 1-2 games up there that mirror what he did today, its very unlikely and he'll come down to earth.

the key is how the team responds on the flip side and if the jets are still competitive and even go 1-1/2-0 in the next 2 with him at the helm, they certainly need to examine the possibility of giving white extended time.

    even with a healthy wilson.
