I would have been fine going that route, Wirfs was the guy I wanted if we werent taking Lamb and I wanted nothing to do with Becton. Who could have seen all of these injury problems coming from a guy who is 8‘7“ tall and 942 pounds? I prematurely ate shit at the end of last year because it looks like Becton was going to be a real player but he’s been an absolute train wreck since the spring. And when you look at what Lamb is doing that makes it all so much worse. I get why we went OL but I’ve said it 1 million times on this website… I will go to my grave saying we should have took Lamb.
Do you think CJ Beathard would make you feel better about a Jets win then White? I certainly don’t. It would be a loss either way. Where is he at anyways?
Its football. Guys get hurt. Becton is a fine player. Sick of the narrative because he had a rough preseason and maybe 1 game that it wipes away his very good rookie season.
Actually, yeah, I would think the Jets had a slightly better chance of winning. It sucks going into a game knowing you have absolutely 0 chance to win.
Mike White's completion percentage is about five points higher than Wilson's, his TD rate is a bit higher and his interception rate is only a hair higher. So if Wilson were to play how much would the Bengals win by? Cam Newton should be on his way to New Jersey right now.
A player's best ability is availability and he hasn't shown that he has that. Even when he's healthy, he's hurting. Until he can be on the field and healthy and contributing for more than a few games at a time he's going to get rightfully criticized.
Ronnie Stanley made bank and he’s missed a ton of games too. And he’s regarded as the best LT in the game currently. It happens.
Ronnie Stanley was an established top tier OL and an all-pro before injuries started to get him. Not comparable.
Hate to say anything positive because lets be honest, we are all miserable rooting for what is by far the very worst team in the NFL this year, and maybe in NFL history, but i digress. Remember a year or 2, or 3 ago the Jets visited the winless Bengals in Cincy? And the Winless stinkfish in Miami and came out of both with losses? Now I know the Jets have a special talent for losing games like that while other teams prepare mentally well enough to eek out a win, but say for example they play Josh Johnson and by some miracle, he plays well. Nah, I am stopping there.
I’m sure Bengals fans thought Zac Taylor was clueless after his first game as a HC and I’m sure they wanted him fired after his first full season, certainly his second. Anyone think they still do now?
ha....lol....ty type..if I knew this season would go like this I would have done it next year instead. I really need to wait until an hour after the game to do the videos...as you can see my blood pressure will not survive the season.
Three things indicate we will win this game. The first two are obvious. The Bengals are on a high, and we are on a low, so its the perfect trap game at home. The third is a little more hidden. After our big win we are suckered into having hope, thinking we have turned things around. Its all going to get better from here. Then we play on Monday night and see our brief hopes crushed as were humiliated in front of the entire nation. That is the Jet way. Jets win this week. Book it.
Great stuff guys. I am really struggling how there has been so little said about last years draft. The media rarely brings it up...and it may go down as one of the worst drafts ever. Becton? If he gets on the field and looks a bit more healthier....perhaps.
Is it really possible to judge anyone on the offensive side of the ball? Do we really know what Elijah Moore is? Has anyone seen him run a quick short crossing pattern (which he ran 156 times in college) one time yet? I have no idea how the media lets Lafleur and Saleh get away with "its the execution". Do they actually understand what that word means? I mean between the two of them, they have used the word over a hundred times since week 1. And that's accurate. Do they know what a word that they have used over a hundred times, really means? 1. the carrying out or putting into effect of a plan, order, or course of action. 2. the performance of an instruction or program. So basically what they are saying is the only thing the coaching staff is doing wrong is teaching...explaining. Not a play call. The play calls are all perfect...its the EXECUTION. Now tell me who in the hell is really taking responsibility for this mess....other than the real stupid students....or players. Because that's what they are saying.
Word on the street is we are going with the Halloween all-blacks. Bengals beware! all jokes aside Jets gonna lose by 14+
Just like 2014. Best two receiver classes in the past decade, loaded with Pro Bowl players and we end up with Jace Amaro, those two mid-round clowns and Denzel Mims.
