I agree the Defense played fine, but they did not WIN us the game by any means. If we played on Offense like we normally do we lose that Game 31-10
for those like myself still worried about how Zach will end up, Geno Smith far outplayed Trevor today. So theres that.
Not especially. It seems like every other thread is you begging someone to get in a flamewar with you.
Wrong about what? How pathetically bad they played after a bye? How ineffective the offense has been for weeks? Have the Jets been sneaky good these past weeks and it just looks like they were getting their ass handed to them? What exactly are you attempting to discuss? Because "slurp slurp slurp" doesn't usually show up on too many football chalkboards.
I could have sworn I read the Jets were going to get killed today. And Saleh is a terrible coach, while LeFluer can't call a decent offensive game plan. Maybe I read things wrong.
There really wasn't any reason to expect otherwise unless you read some tea leaves that I didn't. I'm sure Bengals fans are calling this a trap game, and while I would love to jump whole hog onto the "Jets are fixed" bandwagon, it's hard to argue otherwise. I look at this as progress for the overall team but it counts as just as many games as each of those losses did.
Expecting a loss and expecting to be down by 40 at the half are two different things. I know you know what I'm talking about. Not sure why you are jumping all over me.
Faith in the Jets can pay big dividends... once in a while... Win - Single New York Jets (+340) Win - 2 Team Parlay New York Jets (+420)Cincinnati Bengals @ New York Jets Over 43.0 (-105)
Tell that to Drew Bledsoe. Maybe next year Sam is the QB of the future. For now I would sit his ass as long as we are looking good on offense.
What does it say that while most of the board (even the biggest critics of the CS) seemed to be celebrating a surprise win, you spent the whole game thread trying to start shit with the multitude of people you have created beefs with? What exactly is this team to you?
this season is all about (or mostly about) the progress and development of Zach Wilson - because without a FQB you are never going to have prolonged or consistent success - we got a win today which is good but there is still a huge question mark over the direction this team is heading until we get to see more of ZW and he gets more experience it is odd how there we had 511 total yards which is almost double what we have had in other games this season - I doubt anyone thinks White has more talent that Wilson so what changed? why couldn't they get close to this before? its not like there weren't turnovers in this game for the Jets
Not sure where to put this, seems like this kid has the right attitude. In addition to tightrope walking skills, of course. Hope he sticks around for a while.
I would guess that I'm one of the longest Jet fans on this board. Heck, I even know some of the 1969 guys. But it takes time to rebuild and there are no short cuts. Suck it up and enjoy the occasional wins while they on the rise.
