I am not looking at this year as it is way too early to say - as for the rest: - yes Revis was very good when at his peak - our last stand out first round pick - Sanchez - we were good despite him not because of him - you take a QB in the top 5 and if they are not a FQB then it has to be considered a bad pick - Sanchez wasn't even serviceable - Adams was a decent player (though even that doesn't seem certain) but taking a safety at #6 was a bad move - Richardson was a good player but it was a bad pick and he never lived up to his potential - Quinnen looks OK but he was touted as this absolute stud that was going to transform the defense - he is currently the 70th ranked interior linesman this season way, way below both Leonard Williams and Sheldon Richardson!
How does this year not look good? Both Carter’s, Echols, Moore and AVT all looking solid. Obviously Wilson improving will be huge, but otherwise it looks like he knocked it out of the park.
we are only talking about first round picks here so anyone after the first round is not relevant and AVT looks OK but he is a guard we traded up to get so he would need to be great at that price and Wilson is a hundred times more important to the future of the franchise and thus far looks very shaky - a lot of rookies do and we all need to pray that he can become an FQB
Ok, the Jets did not win, but at least they were competitive in this game. I would rather see this than another beatdown. The razzle-dazzle also was great to see
