Ok I am one of the dumb Jet's fan who voted for the Jets over the Panthers on this forum poll. Vegas has the Panthers by -4.5 favorite at home. I know many of you think this game is important because the NY media says so. But whether the Jets get blown away or blow away the Panthers does not mean that much. Opening games are very unpredictable. Who would have thought the Cowboys would have given the Bucks such a close game. The 2003 Patriots who won the Superbowl lost their 1st game of the season to the Bills 31-0. Last year's SB winner Tampa got their asses kicked by the Saints on the 1st game. I could go on some more into history, but 1st games of the season are not much better than preseason in determining how good a team will be. I may not intelligently be able to make a prediction on this game's winner, but I predict the refs will be throwing many flags and the game will be sloppy.
