The only good thing about playing at Denver is at least Zach is used to playing in high altitude areas. The rest of the team may be a bit winded.
Have you seen the social media traffic based solely on "Darnold revenge game" today? That's why. I don't agree with it from a football perspective but from a business perspective, it's brilliant. I personally love watching football from 9 AM til midnight when there are London games but I just hate when my team has to be one of the teams playing.
Of course it gives the Panthers a big edge with Sam being a veteran, Rhule having been there a year already, and us with a rookie HC, rookie OC, and rookie QB. The NFL trying to screw the Jets and make their decision look bad.
I have noticed this. It is funny the Anti-Jets agenda and narrative on social media. Everything I have read is Darnold Revenge Game instead of "Debut of Zach Wilson" or "Wilson vs Darnold" as I put it. "Robert Saleh's debut." "Robby Anderson vs the Jets" would make sense. Instead, it has all been about Darnold. Which, may set him up for a letdown. The Jets D-line will be at him all day. Wilson could torch the Panthers Defense. We don't know.
You may be right. Of course, it shouldn't be that way, the home fans should be supportive, but sadly, that ain't NYC and its environs.
I figured that we would since Woody was the Ambassador to the UK the last 4 years. I'm still shocked that we didn't wind up at war with the UK.
Yes. I'm not at the level of my dad and his buddies yet where they moan and groan every time we have a night game, but the Thursday games are just brutal. Especially when you're coming from and going back home to CT.
That's what's funny is there actually some really good matchup questions you can ask but it's all going to be about Darnold's revenge. And guess what? I hope he gets it. I'll take one on the chin for the kid as long as it's following up by winning 8 of the next 16 games.
Full schedule leak. Now we can pretend to know exactly how our season will go including detailed convo about "rough stretches" of the season before any team even starts training camp.
Let's hope for the latter to come in and then I can move football to the back boiler, despite City's success I haven't been enjoying football for quite a while tbh. I have been furloughed for a lot of 2021, my bank balance is at an all-time 15 year low, on the good news front the mortgage people sent a letter saying I now only owe 40k and 10 years to go. That was certainly another millstone lifted off my neck
I was still in high school. My dad and his friends actually wanted to leave at the start of the 4th but we had eaten dinner that night at a restaurant that offered a shuttle to and from the game so we had to stay. Thank god.
Why do you want the Panthers to win? Are you looking for posters to come out of the woodwork saying that we were wrong to trade Sam and take Wilson? That will set the tone for a miserable season on this board. It's much better if the Jets smoke the Panthers and Darnold, not only for the perspective of this forum, but for the Jets, Saleh, JD, and Wilson.
As usual, I have to agree with NC. The WORST possible thing for the harmony of the board is for: a-Darnold to smoke the Jets in week 1 and to have a surprising season in Carolina b-Fields to break out in Chicago and c-Wilson to struggle out of the gate. If those three things happen at all this year, TGG will implode with "I told you so's" and recriminations of all sorts. Much better of the Jets dominant Darnold in Week 1, if Darnold struggles in Carolina as he did here in NY, and if Fields struggles out of the fate while Wilson lights it up from the start, lol.
Well ..... back to back home games 3 times in the second half of the season....that’s 6 home games in 8 weeks. Interesting ...
