Good chance he will end up with a better passer rating than Lawrence, Fields and Darnold. That's pretty wild when you consider how many members here think Wilson sucks. What's that say about the other guys, lol?
We're all keeping track of Seattle (who remain at the #7 pick in the draft), but we have to remember that Carolina's 5-11 record puts them firmly at #6 in the draft. That means that right now the Jets have 2 picks in the top 7, and 4 in the top 38. This year's draft is absolutely crucial for the team.
Was just analyzing Tankathon .. the Jets are in good shape. The ironic thing is had the Panthers won today Seattle’s pick would have been #6 but the second round pick (Panthers) would of been another spot back. With one week to go things are looking good for the Jets draft position. I wonder what Houston does at #3?…. 4 picks in the first 38……
The way he has been playing since he came back from injury I have a lot of confidence he will be top 20 QB next year.
I’m hoping he can be better then that…at least the top half. I’m really interested in how the Jets approach this offseason. This would be a great chance to rebuild the defense - they need a young Edge to pair with Lawson along with LBs who can cover in space and a big physical safety. They hit the offense early and hard last draft but this offense was so neglected they probably could use another draft to do the same. Another OL or two, along with a TE and other skill players for Zach.
A TE is basically a given. I'd try to find an immediate contributor in FA and take someone on day 2 who can be the long term answer. I'd try to find another WR who can develop with Zach as Mims, Cole, and Crowder might be off the team next season.
I’m guessing they will try to resign Crowder or Cole. Mims is probably a goner. They will probably sign a TE in FA and draft one maybe in the third round - possibly second round. Yeboah showed some nice hands today…
I wouldn't sign Crowder for anything more than reasonable. I love Berrios and I think he can fill that role. Guy has a ton of talent and heart.
I still like LaPorta. McBride would be a nice pick. I know Vilma likes Kolar. I'm confident they can identify and select someone who will fit the system like Carter and Moore do.
Remarkable how there has been no home field advantage in the NFL this year. None last year (without fans) wasn't so surprising, but of course that hasn't been the case this year. I do think that COVID has been a great equalizer, but I wonder if there are other reasons as well.
hOW DOES ONE OF THE biggest siff arms of the year get called with a whimper...wow. The fuk was he looking at? lol Chubb is a monster
Baker’s been bad but his entire team has been worse. He had 9 straight incompletions in the first half but at least 4-5 of them were check downs that should’ve been caught even if they didn’t gain much yardage. His receivers have also given up and stopped diving to catch balls in this fourth quarter. Very bad sign for that whole team.
