I think as a whole you're going to encounter rookies that struggle in that area. It's less about the ability to do so and more about recognizing the pass rush in unison with the center and quarterback in a matter of ten seconds.

College defenses don't overload blitz (usually) like NFL defenses do.

So that's sort of a non-answer but as a whole if mid round picks don't learn the skill, they're going to be in the doghouse for a long time and eventually fade out of the league.

yup....and they got a few good ones coming back from IR too. They can win the division with a 7-10 record!

McPhearson was my sleeper at cb. Very good athlete..

At wr watch for his teammate Vasher. 6'06" with decent speed but great hands and lonnnng reach. Good red zone threat.

I was hoping for him at 144. Knew it was a pipe dream though, unless we traded up.

I like Cox, both Browns, Carter, and Gainwell.

I disagree with regarding TE. How can it not be a need? TE is a big part of this offense. Herndon is not reliable. Kroft is meh. Griffin is pretty much toast, and Wesco is only a blocker.

    Cliv,

My bastard boys are generation Z and not really into football that much but I still take them to a game or two during the year. They like their Giants unfortunately. Didn't follow them at all this year. Who did they sign and who did they draft that you think are difference makers?

He sucks. Even MeanDean said that he isn't good. No way he should even be under consideration imo.

Stone Forsythe could be a great swing if he is still there. Even though Safety isn’t a need Jamar Johnson could be awesome value if he is still available too. For need, McGrone is a great developmental guy for WLB

Anybody think we'll be taking that fullback from Michigan at some point? He's not much of a dump off man but great in short yardage and a beast blocker.

I feel like at some point we need to take defense but I have no idea how he’s falling this far. Considering Shanahan drafted a tight end in the fifth round and had a little teeny bit of success with him, that makes me think Jordan is a good fit here

    Take your pick

    TE's Jordan, Yeboah, Eubanks

OT Jaylon Moore or Cole van Lanen to be understudy LT/LG

OG Royce Newman or David Moore

    C Trey Hill

    Defence

    DT Togiai

CB Zech Mcpherson or Shakur Brown

    S Washington or Gillespie

and I wouldn't mind them drafting the kicker from Miami

But but but some of our posters have said that the team has no talent, that our GM is bad and doesn't know what he's doing and has had an awful draft. ;)

I like the Carter pick. The front office is getting guys for their coaching staff. It’s been really impressive. Hopefully they are signing Sherman and have spoken to CJ and feel good about it.

Not with the drafts he's having and the talent he has added in FA. Wilson isn't going to bust anyway, but even if he does, I think JD will survive it.

Your not ready to hear it yet, as most here aren't, but this has been a pretty bad draft. Were drafting so be happy now. That's my attitude.

You'd think so but I'm not sure, our offense has been so terrible for so long and our GM is finally investing in it.

It feels like the Jets brass trusts Saleh to shape up the defense.
