i like the fields pick. I mocked him to the jets a few times in the 6th but i think mcgrone and moses are better LBers and hope we take 1 now
New York Jets 2021 NFL Draft Picks: Round 1: No. 2 – Zach Wilson, QB, BYU Round 1: No. 13 (from MIN) – Alijah Vera-Tucker, OL, USC Round 2: No. 34 – Elijah Moore, WR, Ole Miss Round 4: No. 107 – Michael Carter, RB, North Carolina Round 5: No. 146 – Jamien Sherwood, S, Auburn Round 5: No. 154 – Michael Carter II, S, Duke Round 6: No. 186
Wait, I thought this kid was a safety? I remember this kid getting beat up by Alabama. I haven't watched much film on this kid either though.
Both look to be special teams picks. Seems a round too early to go that route but it's cool. It's clear the NFL is not sold on Moses at all. I would've taken him by now but his issue is a hesitation and a false step as soon as the ball is snapped. NFL teams must see that as unfixable.
And you get the second fifth round no name player instead. I feel you pain as I really like Moses as well.
Sherwood is going to be the WILL LB and Carter II is a slot corner. With that being said, I won’t be commenting on these picks as to whether I like them or not because I don’t know anything about them.
Only person I could find on PFN they have him listed as a Safety, is this the same guy? Predicted #271 so a bit of a big reach if it is the right guy Michael Carter II S Duke Positives Versatile defensive back who plays aggressive football. Instinctive, quickly picks up coverage assignments and works hard to defend throws. Physical, mixes it up with receivers and has a nice move to the ball out of his plant. Possesses a terrific burst to the action, fires up the field defending the run, and does not back down to a challenge. Plays to his 40 time and stays downfield with opponents. Negatives Used more as a safety last season and primarily faced the action. Not a big corner and gets overmatched. Must do a better job getting his head back around and making plays with his back to the ball. Analysis Carter was a solid defensive back at Duke and possesses the speed, athleticism, and ball skills to line up in dime packages on Sundays.
