I forgot there are 8 playoff spots this year in each league, so the Yankees are actually in a good situation to land an AL playoff spot despite being horrendous the last couple weeks. Of course, it is World Series or bust, so making the playoffs isn't that big of a deal, but it may give the team time to get back on track and healthy.
He's our 3rd best pitcher at this point. Im disappointed Montgomery is showing he doesn't have MLB stuff. I liked him a lot pre TJ. Obviously he can still rewrite his script
Luke Voit, a real Yankee, that Billy Martin/ Thurman Munson would have respected https://www.mlb.com/yankees/video/luke-voit-rocks-two-home-runs
4 game sweep of the O's. Judge and Stanton should be back this week. The pitching looked a lot better this week. Maybe things are turning around at the right time.
Luke hitting .280 with 18 hr's and 42 ribbies, leads the majors in hr's, we are lucky to have him, plays hurt because the team needs him, 27 and 99 should follow his lead
Andujar sent down and Gardner starting. I guess I can't bitch about 20 runs on the board, but it's like it's against the law for the Yanks to put out a fully loaded lineup.
Gardner batting third. Stanton and Hicks benched. Imagine if your goal was to actually try to win games, you might consider putting your best lineup out there every night.
A couple weeks ago I started having doubts, but despite today's loss in Boston, the Yankees have clinched a playoff spot. Currently set to play the Twins Round 1. We will see what happens this week!
I have no idea what to expect from the Yankees in the playoffs. They could get hot and win it all... they could be out 1st round. Their pitching is thin and over performing of late
