2020 JETS UDFA SIGNINGS Coastal Carolina DT Sterling Johnson (via Draft Diamonds) Nebraska CB Lamar Jackson (via Lincoln Journal-Star) Utah CB Javelin Guidry (via KSL-TV) UNC-Pembroke DT Domenique Davis (via Draft Diamonds) Memphis LB Bryce Huff (via Tiger Sport Report) Georgia WR Lawrence Cager (via WSB-TV) Washington OT Jared Hilbers (via Seattle Times) West Virginia WR George Campbell (announced by his school)
And we all thought in our stupid mock drafts we should draft Lamar Jackson in round four or five because his name's Lamar Jackson. Smh.
"There's no way to sugarcoat it, Adams' testing was bad," a Pro Football Weekly analyst summed up in this account. It appears that knee and back surgeries have stripped him of elite football skills, and his audition in Indianapolis might even keep him from getting drafted. He's likely considered damaged goods. Glad we picked up Cager. Needed more potential red zone targets. Was hoping for WR out of Mississippi State Stephen Guidry but Dallas have nabbed him. Anyone know if WR Justin Hill from Mount Union has been signed by anyone yet? He was productive in his college career, although I know it’s lesser competition, he scored 61 TDs. DE Bryce Huff looks to have some speed off the line and could be a nice addition.
i think he did yesterday in the 4th round that money and maybe Avery's can still be used more effectively -- and i say that liking Avery but way too much money at ILB right now
i like cager alot, he could be a kid that can play. he has potential for sure. big kid 6'5 220. i am going to assume the kid javelin will be a kick returner type at 5'9 but running a 4.39.
Looks like the Bills finally signed him. He's a guy I'll watch for sure. I'm still shocked he went undrafted. The upside alone was worth a 7th rounder to cut him in camp. But I'm also not an NFL GM lol.
I don't disagree with that, you sign him up and work him hard if it is all gone for him then it is cya later buddy but top 10 to undrafted free agent is a hell of a drop and if it was just an attitude thing rather than injuries I hope the guy has had the kick in the arse he needs to get his career back on track.
I disagree. . With all due respect your "one season" declaration was and is completely wrong. In 2016 as a freshman Adams lost time to a stinger. In 2017 is was when Adams was first tabbed as a high 1st round pick (i.e. in the 2018 draft). ACL tear ended his 2017 season (eligibility extended one year). In 2018 he underwent major back surgery and didn't even get on the field until the tail end of the year. Trey Adams came back for the 2019 season (in his last year of extended eligibility) to salvage his collegiate career. Adams did not 'flip overnight' from 1st round to UDFA in one year as you contended. Addressing your other speculative insights ("poor work ethic/Character"): - a poor work ethic didn't elevate Trey Adams player to first-round status let alone after only his sophomore year. - players with character issues do not quit even after multiple major setbacks. Adams to his everlasting credit did not quit. . .Quit...now there's a thought..... .
If somebody made that dick comment at an interview I was conducting, they would be automatically disqualified. And nobody I hire is going to be talking to anybody, much less on national television.
