You know, if by some reason we DON'T choose a QB next year....we might want to extend Sam for 4-5 years at maybe $27 MM a year instead of either letting him go or signing up to a $35 MM a year deal. It's usually all-or-nothing with the QB decision. With Sam, maybe nice money (but not a max contract) is the way to go if we end up screwing ourselves and finish 3rd or lower.
Belicheck knows how to beat the Jets. Not just win a game against them, but really beat them. He's going let the Jets win and do everything he can to fuck us out of that #1 pick. And out of firing Gase. The man is diabolical.
The dude is going to be 36 in about a month and a half. He's playing for the worst team in football. He's already had two really good contracts (2008 rookie deal and 2012 Ravens idiocy). I'd just be shocked if the best thing he has in mind moving forward is playing out the string as a bruised and battered veteran. He's even got a ring to retire on and he's not getting into the Hall of Fame under any circumstances.
