I'm not a big fan of Mims - reports of sloppy route running and effort...surprises me since Douglas supposedly wants "effort" guys. Had he used those 3rd and 4th picks like you suggested I'd be much happier.
I'm curious If some of you don't really like the players....? Or... You really just don't like the positions selected?

I find this encouraging. Sounds like his weaknesses can be coached up. I like the part about "quiet, mature, soft-spoken, very professional". also "weight-room freak" and violent hitter" lol
So the Texans gut their offense, trade picks away for an overrated tackle and extend him, then enter the best receiver draft since 2014 and they take a 3T and an edge rusher. Are they trying to run Deshaun Watson out of town?
Have you watched film of him? I love his hands and body control Route Running can be taught. Baylor wasn't big on a lot of different routes and would associate that more with scheme than personal effort.
Ok, he doesn't seem to have the baggage that Polite carried with him last year. I hope he becomes a player for us.

My main problem with this draft is I was hoping for a more polished WR in the 2nd....a Keenan Allen, Jarvis Laundry, AJ Brown type....maybe Mims will surprise me but he looks like a project.

I don't get why we go after these guys who are rated wayy lower than than where we pick them almost every year. If we had a track record of winning with that strategy it's one thing. But we don't.
