I would love to see that happen again because I at least know it would result in change. All Jets fans know that we need this Gase experiment to end asap

I agree expectations have played a factor. I also think many Jet fans went through emotions with this hire. First they didn't like it. Second they accepted and were willing to give it a chance. Third offense looked good in preseason. Got something to look forward to. Fourth well we know how the season has played out and in 4 of 7 games we have lost by 10 or more and many are back to the why did we hire him in January feeling and are angry. Plus like you said we looked at it as a 6 win team if everything went right and Darnold took the next step they'd push for a playoff spot. Clearly that has not happened and as a team they have regressed since last year and I think that is why the pitch forks are out.

There are some who say the NFL is headed downhill because of the scandals, concussions, etc. So CJ may have been right from a certain point of view.

Man, this is going to be the lowest-rated game all NFL season.

This is an absolute must win

Much more of a win much morer than anything ever that's ever been already this season ever so far

And all you’ll end up getting is further humiliation for being a Jets fan and not one inch closer to Gase getting fired.

If losing to Miami means Gase is gone, I'll be rooting for this team more than anything again. The Adam Gase Jets are the most unwatchable football I have ever seen.

I disagree.. I think a loss to Miami does put the Jets closer to ending the Gase experiment. Its gonna depend on how we finish the year. I don't think CJ is very happy with the situation and the complete obliteration of the New Jet Era even with the new unis, FO/CS etc. They tried to bury the SOJ and unfortunately, they came undone by Gase and his inability to make the team competitive.

I think they’d need to get blown out pretty much the rest of the way for Gase to get canned after one season. It’s possible...

If the team continues to show no life or spirit... If the most influential players on the team leave before being asked questions by the press...If Darnold continues to regress... If this same team shows up for the last 9 games? Gase is a dead man coaching..

I'm watching the Dolphins right now. I'm thinking:
    • Fitz and the Dolphins will beat Gase and the Jets. Fitting symmetry, among other things.
    • Gase will not get fired.
    • Leveon Bell and/or Jamal Adams will leave the game with a mysterious "injury" and not return for weeks, if ever.
    • Bonus prediction: We will lose to Jones and the Giants the following week. Gase will not get fired.

I will say it again IF they lose these next 2 games especially IF they get embarrassed by the GMEN = Gase is as good as gone

Definitely expecting a loss. Gase hot seat gets hotter but nothing ultimately happens. The downward spiral continues.

If we win, we were expecting a win. If we lose, it no surprise because of the trend in recent weeks.

I cannot wish for anyone to get fired.

What matters is the players development on couple key players. Obviously Darnold is the biggest one. As Cman addressed in previous posts above if Darnold continues to regress, all eyes will be on Gase.

while i think the defense has been a bigger disappointment, we have some guys filling in nicely for injured players. They need to continue to develop and become Part of the cohesion and chemistry for several years. We are seeing too many new changes or players changes in defense the last couple of years. The same for a QB, Adams and Maye need that same group to gel.

I am looking for Darnold to get back on track Sunday.

I would like to think that Adams wouldnt quit on his teammates, doesnt seem to be in his DNA, but i wouldnt blame hiim if he quit on Gase or even greg williams, they blow

Play Madden on rookie mode then.

This is not a shot at Sam. This is just the reality.
