Also - if you get 2 taunting penalties you get thrown out of the football game. But not for roughing the passer? That doesn't make any sense. I thought the NFL was trying to protect the players? Myles Garrett had 2 roughing the passer penalties, one of which was a very late hit that broke the QB's leg... Thank God he didn't taunt anyone though- right
You know you are in trouble when the kicker gets as big of a crowd reaction as Le'Veon Bell...... .......who BTW is the real deal, and the best RB we have had since CMart.
I really feel bad for the guy. He’s unbelievable and he’s wasting a year of his prime on the 2019 Jets in an Adam Gase offense.
Because he was the only player worth a damn wearing a Jets uniform last night and he tried as hard as he could to carry the team on his back. He secured that ball perfectly and the defender made a fantastic play. It’s not like he botched a hand off or tried to do too much
We'll see how long this lasts. I expect him to ask for a trade or the Jets to trade him if this abysmal play continues. Play makers mean jack shit without an offensive line giving at least 3 seconds of protection.
Miami is legitimately in better shape than the Jets. The Jets will be the worst team in football when this is all said and done.
Miami could very well be in better shape than us because they have a shitload of 1st and 2nd rounders in the next two drafts. If they make some good picks they could turn things around pretty fast.
Like I said "If". At least their FO put them in a position where they could quickly turn it around by stocking up a ton of early picks unlike our inept former FO.
don't understand the tanking. Cool they traded away a good left tackle, a decent slot receiver and an impact player on defense for draft picks. now they just need to use those draft picks to get a left tackle, a slot receiver and an impact defensive player before they can win again. LOL
It's not like they were contending this year. They were going to be awful with those guys anyway and clearly they didn't want to be in Miami. Better to start fresh and accumulate even more high picks.
So here's a typical post-game loss texting campaign with my rabid Jets fan friend, Vinnie: Vinnie: "Funny how our long running joke becomes an annual reality. Out of it by Yom Kippur. Mazeltov." Me: "We did bump it to July 4th and ultimately to St. Paddy's Day. Erin Go Bragh! Vinnie: "Can't wait to see how they blow another top 10 ten pick next April. Happy Easter." Me: "Drop the puck."
I don't. Bell knew what he was getting himself into and how much the jets struggle. He also wants to be the one who helps us win the superbowl. I'd be surprised if he walks out early.
